Dude/Duddette: nobody here is anyone's parent.

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

I literally have posted addressing those same points multiple times in this thread. And been continually ignored over and over again. Hence my statement.

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

*rolls eyes* Frankly: I don't think PW or you honestly care about the facts of what Mormons believe. Hence the continual ignoring. I would love to be proven wrong about that, of course.

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

I have already addressed these points multiple times and been completely ignored each time. I see no reason to repeat the process again.

LDS Christians aren't Creedal Christians, and disagree with parts of Creedal theology, such creation ex nihilio and consubstantiality. LDS Christians firmly believe that Christ has always existed. He is the Son of the Father: a Son which grew more and more under the Father's guidance and love...

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

This statement isn't actuate. LDS Christians firmly believe that Christ has always existed and always has been one with God. There are disagreements with statements in the Creeds, but nothing with the Bible.

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

There's only one Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God. LDS Christians do indeed believe that we are saved through Christ and His gift. You're never going to get to salvation by yourself. Christ does the Saving. But Christ didn't suffer and die to that His disciples could stay kissing...

That's because Joseph Smith is not the foundation of my faith at all. Christ is.

As I've said many times: as long as the conversation folks on an man, their sins, their works, it's going to be unproductive. God is what is edifying. Now, do you want to talk about Christ with me? Amen.

Prayer Warrior: you don't seem to get it-- my focus in not on any human, including Joseph Smith. Hence my lack of quoting and seldom even mentioning him you see here. My focus is on Christ. Hence my talking about Him , and focusing on Him. Do you want to talk about Christ?

You didn't answer my question: How often do you see me talking about Joseph Smith's words on here?

Joseph Smith << Christ. Christ is the foundation of my faith. No one else.

Thank you for your wonderful words @amadeus, both here and everywhere on the forum. May God continue to ever be with you.

What Mormons Believe--according to a Former BYU Professor

It's very agreed upon that Lynn Wilder is not God, so it doesn't make any sense to talk about her words at all. As to the Book of Mormon: I'm an LDS Christian, and do believe that the Book of Mormon is part of God's words. Now we can talk about that if you want. Totally. Or we could just...

Again, you didn't read my words: "(that includes ANY man-made book), it's never edifying " Now, do you want to talk about Christ, which is edifying?

Read my words again, especially the bold part: "As long as the conversation is distracted with spam about junk & men's sins (that includes any man-made book), it's never edifying and everyone just walks away with a bitter taste thinking the other guy is an idiot." Literally in the process this...
