The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

Since I'm not the Holy Spirit, but just one in which He resides, I can't convict of sin (but He can). I can't convince people of truth ( but He can). I can only hope ( but He already knows.) We're all just along for the ride, but I praise God for the privilege of speaking His word, of writing...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

Uh...yeah. I think that was my point. Given what scripture says, I think "Christians" who aren't anticipating and hoping and doing all they can to hasten the day, should probably be doing some self evaluation to ensure that their faith is genuine and not simply learned religious practice.

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

I'd like to believe that professing Christians, arguing doctrine on a Christian web site and claiming to believe the scriptures would actually have the hope of glory in them. That they would be looking for Christ's return, as in the celebration of His cup. That they would be looking for the...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

In the way of an addendum to my last post: "knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

so the middle ages extended to 1855? I'm curious, do you believe that there was effective treatment for viral infections in 541 AD. Treatments like bloodletting only increased rates of infection. There were no such things as antivirals, antibiotics, or artificial life support. I think that you...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

yup, the middle ages are part of the last days. As I said, the last days started with the resurrection of Jesus Christ. However there were no weapons in the middle ages capable of destroying all life on Earth (though I'm sure there would've been if they had the technology). There were plagues in...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

No problem, it seems like most generations have events which seem to be indications of the "end times", but I would say that the end times began with the resurrection. The Lord instructed us (as disciples) to be looking for His return and to be about the doing of His work. It's the "wicked...

    Stand alone

"And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing." 1 Corinthians 13:2 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that...

    Stand alone

Yup, its better not to say what you don't really understand, but understand judgment: 47“And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. “He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges...

    Stand alone

Yes and no. Yes I'm prepared to stand before God to give an account for what I've shared of my understanding (I'm just acting according to His word, His promises, and His teaching through His own Spirit). No with regard to judment. The bema seat judgment is one of rewards and I'm used to having...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

You seem a tad confused. While the Lord redeems people through the gospel and we can rejoice in that restoration, God's word tells us explicitly that a full redemption and renewal of creation doesn't come until the resurrection and judgment. Yes, love your enemies and do good, but spiritual...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

Hmm, sounds more like cherry picking and selective ignorance. Have you ever read Isaiah 65, about the judgment leading to the millennium? “But you are those who forsake the LORD, Who forget My holy mountain, Who prepare a table for Gad, And who furnish a drink offering for Meni. 12Therefore I...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

Claiming to be god is not a new blasphemy and neither is worshipping men or idols. Jesus said that there's only 1 sin that can't be forgiven. Put it together. The faithful in the church will be doing great works in the name of the Lord while the beast and those committed to him will not only...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

The Lord has not given me a spirit of fear, but whatever floats your boat. I'll stand because that's what I was created to do and I'm certainly not afraid to fall and be clothed in white. Pretty sure that I won't be standing alone.

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

Well, the Lord provided for Elijah in the wilderness, so I suspect He's able to provide for me. I've never really been anything more than a messenger boy in His church (didn't have the biblical qualifications for much else) and I've been prepared to go home for quite a while, but I've gotten the...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

I'm too old for the road, and I'm just doing what the unction of the Spirit is telling me to do (except attend worship services and currently I don't know of any happening anywhere near me anyway.) Very little of it makes any sense to me, but I stopped trying to figure that out when my wife...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

The right arm represents strength in scripture. I haven't a clue what the Talmud says about the left, but most cultures associate the left hand with evil, and binding it with the law makes some sense.

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

One way or another, it does appear that we're seeing the world being set up for the big events. For years I'd read these passages and was unable to imagine how people could get to such a point, but the pandemic has shown me how much the fear of death can influence people's behavior and get them...

The Mark of the Beast (what it really is explained)

While everything in scripture obviously can't be interpreted literally, you should understand that Satan mocks God with scripture. He did this during the temptation of our Lord in the wilderness and He does the same to us, but we don't get it if we're not familiar with the whole book. Moses...
