    The Five Points of Calvinism

I see this question having zero to do with anything we are discussing here.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

The position you are posing here is essentially "either God forces everyone to Heaven and Hell, or His sacrifice meant nothing!" I find such a position to be inherently flawed. Rather, I acknowledge the power of Christ's sacrifice and His love for all men.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Ah, so you are a Calvinist, even if you were previously unaware of the historical origin of that teaching. I respect your belief and acknowledge it. But I do not share it and personally find it to to be completely opposite of the Biblical God of love.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Everyone agree's that Christ sacrificial death of the cross was a HUGE and powerful event, the only way in which men are saved. This is agreed upon by Calvinist and nonCalvinists, so I'm not sure what bearing it has on this discussion.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

I think you are misunderstanding the non-calvinist position. This isn't about "flesh". Rather, when a person accept Christ, it is because they heard the words of Christ and the Holy Spirit testified of the Truthfulness therein. And that person can then accept that testimony and His gift...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

I'm rally not following how this ties into the Calvinist / non-Calvinist discussion.

I'm not sure what that question has to do with this thread/discussion at all.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Explaining both view points here-- Both agree: Christ does the saving. It is HIS atonement which saves, and not men's efforts. It is the Holy Spirit (not natural fallen eyes) which revealed the things of God. Non-Calvinist view point: Christ loves all men, died for all men, and the Spirit...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Think you an Enoch are actually saying the same thing here. Both acknowledging that Christ died on the cross for ALL men. Some accept His gift and are saved. Others do not accept go about their way. But again, Christ died for all.

Now, I'm not a Calvinist. I believe that man does have freewill-- a person who accepts faith...

Now, I'm not a Calvinist. I believe that man does have freewill-- a person who accepts faith is because they choose to, and those that reject it because they choose to. John 3:18 reinforces this beautifully. But what is your take on things?

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

That's not quite an answer to my question. If the only way a person is saved is by God forcing them to have faith, then why are all not saved? Why did a loving God create fallen individuals (whom by God's design cannot ever have faith) just to doom them to Hell?

So those persons that go to Hell are because they choose to reject that testimony?

Farouk, do you believe that God testifies to those who do NOT follow Him?

This still leaves me with the "you're a heathen" thing. I REALLY would rather have an opportunity to better understand what is you believe.

I find every quote you posted to be AGAINST Calvinism. Should I then just conclude that you are anti-Biblical? I'm rather have the opportunity for you to explain your beliefs to me and see how you love Christ and His words.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

And when was the last time you drove down the street to attend Catholic Mass and earnestly study Catholicism, as you wish us all to study your Calvinism?

Man has a part in his salvation=things to do, believe and say.

@farouk, with all due respect, quoting scripture at me isn't going to help me understand your Calvinist beliefs because I find Calvinism and scripture to be in complete disagreement. However, rather than just get out a pitchfork and shout "burn those horrible heathens!", I'd operate on the idea...

The only person whom can explain to me YOUR beliefs is YOU. Hence why I ask YOU to explain YOUR beliefs.
