    Some good information for Dave

If you wish to defined "Christianity" as a worshiper of the man-made Athanasian Creed, you can say that. But I define Christianity by God's words in scripture. I find the man-made document to be flawed, but it's not enough for me to say an Athanasian Christian has totally abandoned God. Not...

    Some good information for Dave

God is three persons. One God, three persons. For example, during Christ's baptism, each person does a specific thing. Again, these points are agreed upon with Athanasian and LDS Christians. No one here is a modalist.

    Some good information for Dave

Again, LDS Christian 100% agree that God is ONE. Just not how the Athanasian Creed states. And no, the Athanasian Creed is not scripture.

    Some good information for Dave

LDS Christians 100% agree with God's words here. LDS Christians do not agree with the man-made Athanasian Creed.

    Some good information for Dave

Define "spiritual essence" using just scripture.

    Some good information for Dave

This is not accurate. Both LDS Christians and Athanasian Christians both believe: The Father is 100% divine. The Son of God, Jesus Christ is 100% divine. The Holy Spirit is 100% divine. The Father, Son, and Spirit are all without beginning nor end. The Father is not the Son, nor vice verse...

    Some good information for Dave

This thread is a personal challenge for @Dave L , to learn some more information. It is response to this post from another thread-- Ok Dave, I'm going to hit up each of your points fast style, then start with one more in depth, and we can move from there. For the sake of flow I'm going to...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

If God only reaches out to some, then he only loves some men. If God forces things, then he does not love at all. And I'm sorry, I do not find such a Calvinistic view to be in the Bible. I respect your beliefs, but I do not agree with them.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

The way I see it, is the question ultimately comes down to the nature of God. Is God a -- A) Being of hatred and force. Whom created some people to enslave his will upon, and some to torture for eternity. or B) A being of love, whom offers his gift to all mankind, to whomever would accept it...

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

Another very well thought out and written post. Thank you for your thoroughness and willing to address questions. I highlighted this part of your post because it is my biggest focus-- that a person has the free will to accept Christ's gift, or is it forced. Your answer here seems to very...

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Dave, remember the conversation we had about learning about other people's beliefs for real? Your information here is very flawed. I do not accept Calvinism at all, but I am willing to get my facts straight on what it is Calvinists believe and answer any question about what it is I believe and why.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

Speaking personally-- I don't just blindly accept anyone's teachings as being "this is Christ's" because God does warn us that there are false teachers out there. So I very seriously study every teaching, double checking against scripture and with prayer. With all due respect to your beliefs...

Why John 6:37 is grossly misunderstood and misapplied

Thank you for the thoughtful post here. Do you believe that God witnesses His Truth to all men? And do you believe a individual has the choice whether or not to accept that Truth?

    The Five Points of Calvinism

And everyone (Calvinist and non) agrees with those statements. The contrast between the two views is *how* and to *whom* that love and gift is imparted.

I am nearly out of patience with this.

Again: I see this as having zero relationship to this discussion. Repeating it again does not suddenly make it relate to the topic. If you want to continue on this tangent, please explain how you see it relating to the topic at hand. Otherwise it is just a unrelated tangent.

    The Five Points of Calvinism

I am trying to have an open discussion with you here, but you seem very unintrested discussing. It is frustrating.

How about you explain why you think it relates to the topic at hand?
