    Grace vs Legalism

Sorry, I forgot to add: Rom 8:13, For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

If Jesus of Nazareth is and was God, how is He not the Father? Is God not the Father? (see 1 Corinthians 8:6, Ephesians 4:6, James 3:9 (kjv)). How many Gods do you have? If Jesus was God and yet not the Father, that means that either the Father is not God or that there is more than one God...

    Grace vs Legalism

It should be clear that the scripture has concluded all to be under sin in order that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe (Galatians 3:22). All are under sin. This word "all" means "all"...which includes the ones who are sanctified wholly. Those who have...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

How is it, then, that you say that the Son can incarnate while the Father does not also do the same? Does the Father separate from the Son, so that He is no longer in Him, when God incarnates?

    Grace vs Legalism

Then Paul was preaching false doctrine in Romans 4:7. Perhaps you should take some scissors and cut that verse out of your Bible. It is the encapsulation of that which is sinful within us. I beg to differ. In Romans 7:18 we find that in me (that is, in my flesh) there dwells no good thing.

The relationship between faith and works.

He is both Mighty and Humble.

    Freed from "sinning".

A good conscience means that when you do sin, you recognize what you have done as sin. If you don't or can't, that is what is spoken of in scripture, that the conscience has been seared as with a hot iron.

    Freed from "sinning".

Also, Romans 7:18 is clear, that in me (that is, in my flesh) there dwells no good thing.

    Freed from "sinning".

I don't believe that the Lord wants us to forsake a good conscience so that we no longer have "sin consciousness". 1Ti 1:19, Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 1Ti 3:9, Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience...

    God supplied His own Demand

I am not coming from the perspective of someone who wishes to deny the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. But I am coming from the perspective of one who wishes to take all of scripture into account. I am not "lost in Hebrews". I do read the entire book every Saturday; but I also read every...

The relationship between faith and works.

And my point was, that God cannot receive my life if I don't present it to Him. If He receives my life when i didn't present it to Him, then He took it (in the sense of stealing or murder); but if I presented it to Him, then I was willing for Him to have it. Because I presented it to Him.

    Grace vs Legalism

1 John 1:9 is indeed a teaching given by the apostle John. If John has no sin, then he would not be including himself in the group of people who would be deceiving themselves, and the truth not in them, if they say that they have no sin.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Yet you have said that Father, the Word, and Holy Ghost are indivisible. How then can the Word incarnate and the Father also not incarnate?

How to recognize a real Teacher... Pt 2

This is reminiscent of the concept that the person in Luke 8:13 continues to be saved after falling away; which, btw, is heresy. I will say this: that my faith is not something that I have to try to cling to or hold on to in order to stay saved. Do I cling to it? I do; for Barnabas exhorted...

HOW TO RECOGNIZE A REAL TEACHER PART 3

I always take the time to read what other people say... And I have made all of those posts over a long period of time. If I did not read what other people said, I would not be able to respond with any kind of clarity. I have not made 13,000 threads, but 13,000 posts...and many of those are...

HOW TO RECOGNIZE A REAL TEACHER PART 3

I'm not that interested in your teaching. If you can create a link to each one of those things, I'll click on the link and read. Otherwise, I'm not going to go searching for those titles throughout the boards.

"Religion! Who needs it?" or "Religious Tyranny:"

Jesus was the friend of tax collectors and sinners; and Christians should follow His example. It does not mean that they shouldn't live holy lives themselves; and neither does it mean that they should not encourage each other to live holy. If a drug addict or prostitute comes from outside and...

HOW TO RECOGNIZE A REAL TEACHER PART 3

I'm sorry, I haven't seen them. Maybe you could bump them up to the top (by posting something in them) so that they are in the forefront once again.
