What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

We are still sinners. It is a trustworthy saying and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1 Timothy 1:15. It is good that we should each one of us, adopt this saying to our own lives. We are sinners in that we have indwelling...

    Grace vs Legalism

@CharismaticLady, the joy of the Lord is your strength. As I have said before, it is the anointing of the Holy Ghost that teaches us to abide (1 John 2:27-28).

The relationship between faith and works.

Jesus is 100% God and 100% Man. Also, the Holy Ghost is absolutely one with the spirit of every saint (1 Corinthians 6:17, Ephesians 3:19)...and connected to their humanity in this way. Jesus is currently a Man sitting on the right hand of the throne of God.

The relationship between faith and works.

Therefore, when the human Jesus said that the Father was in Him and He in the Father, He was speaking from the perspective of His humanity, and referring to His Deity. For He was and is His Spirit.

We are a spirit, we have a soul, and we dwell in a body.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

So, being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ is to be baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost? If there is one Lord, and Jesus is the Lord, then Jesus is the Father. Because the Father is the Lord (Matthew 11:25, Luke 10:21). In light of that, can you say...

    Baptism in Jesus' Name (poll).

Also, in the original language in which the holy scriptures were first penned, the Greek word "kai" is what was used, which can be translated as "and" or "even" in the English that it is translated into. And that therefore, rendering it as "even" understanding what the original Greek word was...

    Baptism in Jesus' Name (poll).

This may be off-subject, but: I'm not sure what you mean by "both writers". The Bible was penned by 40 different authors.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

I do believe that I believe according to what the holy scriptures teach. So, you were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Was this contrary to the baptism mentioned in Matthew 28:19? I believe that the scriptures teach that there is one Lord (Ephesians 4:5); and that this Lord is the Father...

How could the Messiah be sinless?

Again, I think that you simply need to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth for the remission of sins. Once you do that, everything else will fall into place concerning what you believe about doctrine.

How could the Messiah be sinless?

So the Father and the Holy Spirit are not God? I believe that you have simply not come to the revelation of what is revealed in holy scripture. For I find that what I believe about the Lord is substantiated by holy scripture and that there is nothing in holy scripture that contradicts my...

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

Right...we who have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb have been affected by the love of God (Romans 5:5) so that in any instance where sin is absent, the love in our hearts will motivate us to not commit sin. In the present day, we are made of flesh; and sin in the flesh sins: it is no...

What Keeps Us From Sinning In Heaven?

I put Other. We will be given glorified bodies that are free from the presence of sin. We will be incapable of sinning, not because we have been made into robots; but because we have been made into new creatures in Christ (to more of an extent than now; in our physical bodies as well as what...

The relationship between faith and works.

Jesus did not only claim to be God after He resurrected. He claimed to be God before He was crucified (John 8:58, Exodus 3:14, John 8:24). The Pharisees and scribes accurately understood what He was claiming (John 8:59, John 10:31-33).

    Baptism in Jesus' Name (poll).

All I'm saying is that the members of the Trinity do not have to be separate according to the verses that you brought up.

    Baptism in Jesus' Name (poll).

The Greek word for "and" in both of the scriptures in question, is "kai" which can be translated "even".

The relationship between faith and works.

Are you not Oneness? Do you not believe that Jesus is God? Jesus humbled Himself to the point of death (Philippians 2:1-11).

    The Blood Loses None

In Luke 8:13 we find Jesus speaking of a nominal, lukewarm, or shallow faith that, when tested, the person will fall away. Such a person believes but is not sealed by the Holy Spirit. In John 6:47 we find Jesus speaking of a heart faith that is unto righteousness (Romans 10:10) and enduring to...

    Grace vs Legalism

Evidently we are in good company with Paul (1 Timothy 1:13-15).

How could the Messiah be sinless?

And the Word was God. So God became flesh. Is not God, the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, by your estimation? It was prophesied over me that I would have the spiritual gift of "the word of wisdom"....so you ought to consider that what you deign to be in me human wisdom may in fact...
