    Was the Cross Always Understood?

So, tell us...how much of a rat's petoot do you give in relation to what the world thinks about your beliefs? Do you really put any stock in what others think about you and your beliefs? Did you really understand what I even said in the OP above in context? I'm finding your comment difficult to...

Work OUT Your Salvation, not FOR

We are in agreement that doing good and following the Law is also good, but not necessary for salvation. Therein is the difference between works-based salvation and salvation by grace through faith. The good that I do is that which He works through me. BTW

Work OUT Your Salvation, not FOR

Sorry, but I don't subscribe to the Charismatic system of interpretation, which makes salvation a system of works intermixed with faith. Works-based salvation is not a valid interpretation from what I have found through the Systematic Theology studies I have worked through in the years of my...

    Was the Cross Always Understood?

Was the Cross Always Understood? You’ve probably heard someone say, “Today we are saved by looking back to the cross, just like in time past everyone was saved by looking forward to the cross.” Sounds spiritual. But is that true? Did God say to Noah, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and...

Work OUT Your Salvation, not FOR

The Law of Yah is indeed perfect in every way, and is a standard by which we're not required to try and be justified. For that, I am so thankful. BTW

Stoicism - This is what I believe, no matter the truth...

I fully agree they will do whatever they so desire. However, there are those precious souls who will at least stop and consider what is being said, and speak of their going back into the scriptures to see what is written, and also in their prayer closet where the Spirit of the Lord can and will...

Stoicism - This is what I believe, no matter the truth...

Here’s a simple illustration to further the point made in the OP: As a child, your family has a way of doing things. You get used to it—it’s the only thing you've ever known before because that’s how your family operates. Then you get older, and you realize: “Huh. Not everyone does things the...

Stoicism - This is what I believe, no matter the truth...

This one is from the Barna Group: “The problem facing the Christian church is not that people lack a complete set of beliefs. The problem is that they have a full slate of beliefs in mind which they think are consistent with biblical teachings, and they are neither open to being proven wrong...

THE CHURCH IS NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

What's even worse are Gentiles trying to enter in to Judaism. The general name for that grouping is Hebrew Roots, but some go by other names and labels, thinking the Lord desires a return to the Law within the age of grace. Tragic indeed. That temple will be the instrument whereby the man of...

THE CHURCH IS NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

That is so true, and some of us do follow Christ Jesus. Many Messianics who are my brothers and sisters have gone down the path of Messianic Judaism, which I oppose as a fellow Jew. They are doing as our ancestors in Jerusalem, being zealous for the Law, thus trying to intermix faith in Christ...

THE CHURCH IS NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

Unfortunately, many have looked upon the fall of Israel as an opportunity to foist replacement theology upon unsuspecting people who don't read their Bibles, thus the army of professing believers who think they have been grafted into Israel, thus replacing Israel by way of an alleged "good...
  12. BeforeThereWas

Anyone accusing you of “Replacement Theology” is defending the spirit of Antichrist.

All we need to do is look at the massive amounts of confusions that arise from churchianity denominations and independent thinking. They all claim to read the same Bibles of modern translations, which themselves are confusing in varying ways, and so we're left with this quagmire of loose...

Yes. You may have to create a free account to listen through the selections, but that's easy enough to do. BTW

THE CHURCH IS NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

Notice the tense of Pal's words. He was speaking of Christ having once been known after the flesh, but that he, they and we today should not desire to know Christ after the flesh. He has already been crucified and raised up. He has completed His mission here on this earth where our redemption is...

Work OUT Your Salvation, not FOR

Let's get the rest of that context: Romans 2:13-16 13 For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified. 14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto...

THE CHURCH IS NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

That's a movie play. Yes, I saw that years ago. The fight isn't against the Spirit of the Lord, it's against the falsehoods you have tried to spew as biblical truth. BTW

Work OUT Your Salvation, not FOR

You've hit upon an important point. The RCC claims Peter and the Kingdom Gospel he preached are relevant for us today. I happen to disagree with that, as is also backed by scripture. I believe there's value in all of scripture, but not all of it applies to us today. For example, keeping the Law...

THE CHURCH IS NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

Wow. Sounds like you fancy yourself the authority over the Patriarchs and the Lord Himself as to their being offended or not. Hope you don't mind it that I won't be bowing down to you. BTW

THE CHURCH IS NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

Over-spiritualizing is what I've always gotten from Charismatics who like making the scriptures out to say whatever they want to hear from them. Parables were fine for the Lord to speak for the purposes He stated. People trying to fancy themselves as master of parables in modern...

THE CHURCH IS NOT THE BRIDE OF CHRIST

Where are you getting all these cliche's? Spiritualizing the word of God at every point and turn is nothing but subjunctivizing it. BTW
