    Our Two “I’s”

I do believe that we can abide in the for ever sense (1 John 2:17, Hebrews 10:14).

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

If faith is an attitude of obedience, I fail to see how someone who has true faith is going to continue in disobedience. Both repentance and faith will normally produce works that can be seen.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I don't believe that real repentance is something that we work towards, or that requires work. It is something that is granted to us by the Lord (2 Timothy 2:25-26). It is defined as a change of mind concerning sin...a 180-degree turn away from sin and towards righteousness. This is not...

I'd be interested in your answer to this question.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

repentance is a change of direction that will result in good works; but is not a work in and of itself (except of the Holy Spirit on the heart of a man). You can say that again!

    What Is Love?

Before a good building can be built, sometimes the precipice that already stands must be thrown down/completely demolished.

    What Is Love?

Jer 1:9, Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. Jer 1:10, See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

What I said is no attack on you...unless it be true that you are a bearer of bad fruit...in which case we would know by that, that you are a false prophet come to us in sheep's clothing...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

See posts #1-#5 in the following thread (especially post #5): True Trinity. btw, I do believe that the Son is God. So you say.

    Yes, I think so. :)

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

I don't believe this...and I am a Trinitarian. Look deeper... We are not saved by works/obedience. We are saved by an attitude of faith which is an inclination towards obedience. If Peter was obedient....why did he baptize in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins instead of...

    Our Two “I’s”

That abiding in our new nature, we do not sin (1 John 3:6). And that sanctification is not a process in which we become more holy, but a moment-by-moment decision of whether we are abiding in the new nature or walking according to the old man.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

It is my understanding that Jesus is fully God from before He was born; and that He descended to become a Man; but that when He resurrected He received a glorified body, likened unto the heavenly angels. Thus Jesus is the chief cornerstone of the Elohim (the Bright and Morning Star). My...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Hey, I don't think I'm there yet either. Phl 3:12, Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Phl 3:13, Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

It seems to me, @Truther, that the ghost that your Jesus gave up to the Father (Luke 23:46) was the human spirit of Jesus. That would make Jesus in us less than God (i.e. Christ in you, the hope of glory, Colossians 1:27). Nevertheless the following passage tells us that we can be filled with...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Jesus doesn't have two spirits. The Spirit of Jesus is the Father (John 4:23-24, John 14:7-11). There is one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4).

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

The Father dwells in eternity as an eternal Spirit: the same Spirit dwells in Jesus Christ: who released that Spirit back to the Father who inhabiteth eternity, when He died. Thus, John 1:1, because the Spirit, before and after, dwelleth outside of time. Distinctions between the Father and the...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

There is one Spirit (Ephesians 4:4); the Father (John 4:23-24, Ephesians 4:6), the Son (Colossians 1:27, Ephesians 3:17, 1 John 5:12) and the Holy Ghost (John 7:37-39, 2 Timothy 1:14).
