Is your faith defined by what you DON'T believe? - The anti-doctrinal stance

I do believe that our faith should be more about what and Who we have faith in, and that should be our focus, more than focusing on and railing on the things or beliefs that we are against as believers. Because the package of truths that pertain to Christ and the gospel is the only antidote...

Is your faith defined by what you DON'T believe? - The anti-doctrinal stance

Amen. And the faith that is "not of our own comes" from God/Christ, His Spirit, and is faith in Him, not in any other.

    Predestination VS Free Will

It strikes me as so ironic that you are the one being black and white about this topic. You are making this a matter of God rejecting all who don't attain to a walk in the "higher walk" 24/7/365. He doesn't judge the way we judge.

    Predestination VS Free Will

Agree with this up to a point......except that even a babe in Christ produces something eternal according to their own level. Out of the mouths of babes He has at the very least ordained praise. But we do need to grow. And that involves being broken and dying to our old man......through...

    Predestination VS Free Will

Not really. Everyone was created by God in His image, but my point is that everyone all fell from that image.....short of the glory. Don't you agree with that? All souls are God's only in the ultimate sense (including the devil). But we were all once children of the devil....of our former...

    Predestination VS Free Will

Do you believe the inner man of the heart in unregenerate believers is still in the image of God? There is a reason why we needed the Lord to give us a new heart, a new man, which is made in His image.

    Predestination VS Free Will

I believe it is speaking on one level to the Jew first and on another level to the Gentile (mostly Gentile church) who have the Spirit of Christ in us.

The Mark of the Beast is here!

It's those cares of this world that distracts the church and keeps it from "watching unto prayer". Jesus said to worry not for the morrow for sufficient unto the day are the evils thereof. He leads us and guides us day by day if we remain prayerful and looking to Him. He is the one who will...

    Predestination VS Free Will

But we all fell from God's image didn't we. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The hidden man of the heart/spirit.........is deceitfully wicked. And we are told we are to rid ourselves of all filthiness of both flesh and spirit/heart. It is written that the evil man out of...

    Predestination VS Free Will

"A proper sense of reality" doesn't come from the natural man, who is blind to the truth. All the glory belongs to God......humility is a fruit of the spirit, it is not speaking of a manufactured self-righteous "voluntary humility".

The Mark of the Beast is here!

It seems there are repeating patterns or manifestations where universal truths are concerned. But I believe there will be a final antichrist at the end of this age. And bearing in mind that the man of sin must be "revealed".....to me that means God has to reveal him to us, we aren't going to...

The Mark of the Beast is here!

But what does it mean to watch? Jesus told His disciples in Gethsemane to "watch with me", but they fell asleep instead of being in prayer. And it says elsewhere to "watch unto prayer". So watching is not about being focused on and on top of everything that this world is getting up to. And...

Vision Of A Partially Built Tower

I agree. That has been my understanding for a long time. But it might also be speaking a slightly different prophetic word to the Jews/Israel of that day....to finish "building" what the Law had only been leading to and laying the foundation for.....to seek terms of "surrender" to their...

Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

Amen. As long we realize that loving our enemies and showing kindness to them, repaying evil with good etc, does not mean to be unequally yoked with them. And nor does it mean to hold back on pointing out their wrong for their good if the situation calls for it.

Does the "husband of one wife" requirement mean that polygamy was common in the early church?

More contradiction of the truth as given to us in the holy scriptures. I gather that @soberxp believes the church made a mistake in believing in the deity of Christ and thinks that the Koran corrects that "mistake". Unfortunately that is a deception. It was to demonstrate His unspeakably...

Does the "husband of one wife" requirement mean that polygamy was common in the early church?

Thanks for pointing this out. This directly contradicts the bible. Since there are things in the Koran which directly contradict the bible and deny the deity of Christ it cannot be of God period. The Hebrew scriptures make direct mention of God's son ......they are God-breathed writings and...

Does the "husband of one wife" requirement mean that polygamy was common in the early church?

My understanding is that marriage for believers is a concession to the flesh to prevent fornication. It's not sin at all as long as lechery and excesses aren't brought to the marriage bed.....otherwise that would be idolatry. And I wonder if perhaps the natural man without God naturally tends...

Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

The bible is clear that there is no salvation (eternal life) apart from faith in Jesus Christ. And it says, if anyone has not the Son, they have not the Father either. So you are saying the Koran tells them Allah grants them salvation and this is without Jesus Christ? How can that be true...

Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Because of this, wrath has gone out against you from the Lord.

Hmm, Solomon also said meaningless. This is the second time you haven't answered this same question. You have made certain statements about the Koran, but why won't you discuss it?

Jesus saying that He came not to bring peace but a sword was in context of having enemies/conflict even within one's own family/household. It is a sword that divides and bring conflict between people of the world and those who are of faith in Christ and belong to His kingdom. What is or was...
