Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

It's not a matter of "salvation ending," really, it's just that at that time, God will have brought all His elect ~ Jew and Gentile, people of every tongue, tribe and nation ~ into His Israel, as I have said. I would like to know what other "problems" you or anyone else thinks it creates or...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

Hmmm... The thousand year thousand year (millennial) reign of Christ and the thousand year (millennial) binding of Satan, during which he is not able to keep the Gospel from being spread to all nations (tongues, tribes, and nations) starts ~ started ~ at the same time... about two millennia ago...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

The sea is symbolic of evil and trouble and sin. Remember, the beast comes up out of the sea (Revelation 13:1). There will be no more sin, and... I quote Isaiah 35 often because I love it so much... "everlasting joy shall be upon (our) heads; (we) shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

No problem. I mean, yeah, not every Amill knows everything... like... I do... :Broadly: I'm... kidding. Somewhat. :) Well of course. I would actually say long after Christ was born... :) I would say this about Zechariah 14... Probably going a little further than you bargained...

Teachings By The Asps That Hide Here

No, because the millennium does not follow Christ's return ~ more specifically to you and several others here, the events of Revelation 20:1-6 do not occur after the events of Revelation 19:11-21; insistence that they do merely because chapter 20 follows chapter 19 in Revelation is what causes...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

Hmm, I think your premise here is... generally untrue. :) Certainly for me it is; it seems that would be obvious to you from my last post to you. If you would apply what you say here to me, well then I would submit to you, David, that you haven't read many of my posts on this subject, if...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

No "Amill" worth his/her salt would even hint at such a thing. The Bible is one Story, not two. I've heard it said ~ and said myself ~ that the one page you can rip out of your Bible is the blank one between the Old Testament and the New. :) I'm not sure I would state it exactly that way...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

Because the Gospel was only revealed to the nation of Israel then; with the coming of Jesus, the Gospel was opened to all (Jew and Gentile). God allowed Satan the ability to "deceive the nations" ~ prevent the spread of the Gospel ~ in Old Testament times. Think of it terms of a "lesser...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

I think you’re missing half my point, Mr. E. Or, alternatively, you’re missing one of my two points. I don’t mean to argue, or sound antagonistic. To your question, I’ll just say that the physical, in and of itself, is good. Along with the rest of God’s creation, God, in Genesis 1, of course...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

I’ve heard a lot of different things in my day, but that’s the first I’ve heard of that position. Hm. Grace and peace to you. Well, from spreading to other nations besides Israel… I say it is. :) Well no, people are saved the same way, through faith, regardless of the time in which they...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

Hmm well, of the flesh, meaning of man, which equates to having a sinful nature and therefore the natural proclivity toward sin and away from holiness. Right? But then again, not always, in Scripture; it does refer to the physical body… sometimes (i.e., John 1:14). Sure. But I think ~ and me...

Isaiah 65:17 vs. Revelation 21:1. How many NHNEs does that equal?

LOL! Never heard that before... Me? No. :) Hmmm... I guess to this, I would say there are two senses to understand the coming of NHNE: in the sense you are saying, and... in the sense that it comes down to us after Jesus's return and the final Judgment, with all in very short order. And...

Isaiah 65:17 vs. Revelation 21:1. How many NHNEs does that equal?

Okay, I mean, points well taken. But... and this is just me... if you say you don't think you've studied this particular issue enough. and not understanding the Millennium itself, and can't argue very well for one position or another, then how can you say you're firmly Premillennial? Just...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

Right, but that's not the only context that 'flesh' and/or 'of the flesh' is used in the Bible, and that gives some posters on here a hard time (though of course they don't think so). :) Grace and peace to you, Mr. E.

I... see a lot of, um, creative :) posts/thoughts on this board from a number of posters concerning the soul, and the spirit, and hell, and the flesh (among other things). :) Regarding specifically what you state here, though, Jesus's physical body was certainly in the tomb three days and...

Paul claimed 3 times that Rev 20:4 was a current reality.

Okay, well, we disagree on that. Hm, well, the heart of the person is not literally in the center of his/her body... :) And when the Bible speaks of one's heart, the actual bodily organ we know as the heart is not what's in view. Grace and peace to you, David.

His body was indeed in the tomb. Sorry; you weren't addressing me, but... :) Just... interjecting. Apologies. Grace and peace to you, David.

Isaiah 65:17 vs. Revelation 21:1. How many NHNEs does that equal?

Hm. Interesting post. I see a lot of humility in it, which is... awesome; we don't see enough of that on this forum... :)... and I would even apply that to myself. :) So here's how I would answer you on this, Randy: Maybe the thing to do is to understand Christ's coming as to the church ~...

Agreed, and I would equate this coming back down 3 days after His crucifixion with Revelation 20:1-3. :) Grace and peace to you, Mr. E.

Actually, I'm not sure anyone here could even be labeled a partial preterist. I'll just say what I believe, and then people can either agree or disagree with it... I believe that at least most of John's prophecies are in the process of being fulfilled ~ which is to say neither some of them...
