No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

LOL You don't trust Paul because you don't understand Paul.

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

That is a directive to be satisfied with what you have, because you have what is greater--but that only pertains to righteous people, whereas the unrighteous will lose God's presence. If not, why did David cry out, after having sinned with Bathsheba, "Do not cast me away from Your Presence, and...

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

The children are told to "remain"--they're there, but they're told to stay there. The Galatians had already received the Spirit (Gal 3:1+). Who said God could fail? If God says "if you do this, I will do this, but if you do that, I will do that" that is not God "failing".

All I see is screaming, ranting, emotion, emptiness. Why not just give a succinct answer?

Matthew 18 - Is Jesus Lying Or Are You Lying?

I am focused on Matthew 18 in this thread.

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

If all without exception remain why are "children" warned to "remain" (1 Jn 2:28), and to abstain from idols (1 Jn 5:21)? How were the Galatians "deserting God" (Gal 1:6) and "cut off from Christ" (Gal 5:4)? How is the Christian who sins "condemned" (Ro 14:23) if there's "no condemnation" in...

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

Paul says we are one spirit with Christ. The body of sin was put to death, brought to nothing (Ro 6:6)--we literally died with Christ, or else the Jewish believer wouldn't have been set free from his obligation to keep Torah (Ro 7:1-6).

It was framed perfectly, actually--and I was right that you affirmed OSAS.

The OP, with which you are free to interact, debunks this misunderstanding.

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

    1. Because some people interpret Paul as referring to "physical death", I will address that: that would serve as proof that no Christian has ever walked according to the spirit, because they've all died. No, obviously, he's talking about sinning and spiritually dying. 2. "Works of the flesh"...

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

You're missing the point: you're admitting that a Christian can be double-minded, can do things with which they disagree, can have a yes and a no--the very thing you tried denying could occur when a Christian ate without full faith in Ro 14:23. I don't know why you thought I was asking for a...

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

This has already been addressed--identifying someone's ancestral lineage and describing one's manner of living ("walk after the flesh", and contrasting it against "walk after the spirit") are not the same goals, so comparing the phrases is to compare apples and oranges. While it may be true...

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

The topic of v12,13 is not "what Christ did", it's your responsibility to walk not after the flesh, but, instead, to mortify the deeds of the flesh, so, yes, it's talking about sins, and sins lead to death, as it says.

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

So, you do affirm OSAS. There are so many errors here, but, so as not to get to far off on a tangent, I will simply point out, that, no, I'm going to remain consistent with the preceding chapter, and simply say that sin kills, leads to death--and he asks who will deliver him from the body of...

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

No, 1. The context shows v22 is one condemnation (of the one who practices his faith in a harmful way instead of keeping it to himself), and v23 is a different condemnation (of the one who does not eat with faith, bc whatever does not proceed from faith is sin). 2. The general problem is...

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

Scripture speaks for itself. I'm glad you recognize that. Again, walking in faith is God's righteousness not my own (Ro 1:17, 14:5, 23). OK You think your way, I stand by my view of the context. Walking in faith is God's righteousness, as stated, and when we do so we fulfill the Law (Ro 8:4)...

No Condemnation For Those In Christ, But... Sinning Believers Are Condemned Ro 14:23?

No, the context shows he is harming his brother--and 1 Co 8 (same topic) explicitly states you sin against Christ when you sin against your brother that way. What it is saying is "blessed is the man who does not bring condemnation on himself by harming his brother with his faith he should keep...
