    "Free" Will

I see Jesus making a choice not to bother explaining the parables to some, but making a choice to explain it to others. So yes, I do see a choice.

    "Free" Will

Yes, exactly! God ain't giving them truth. If he did give them truth, they wouldn't be damned. This is why Jesus spoke in parables. If he didn't, they'd have understood. Sure, the disciples didn't understand the parables at first either, but jesus explained it to them. He didn't...

    "Free" Will

Of course not. Now who sends them strong delusions?

    "Free" Will

Same mindset? No. The mindset is are you going to accept the truth or not. Those that have the mindset of accepting the truth can do no other.

    "Free" Will

Ok. Yep, that is true! Jesus pretty much said believe what I say or go to hell! Kind of puts a damper on free will, Don't it? The problem is that I believe God puts certain roadblocks and open doors that end up resulting in the chosen to coming to him.

    "Free" Will

... which is made because God opened my eyes through physical circumstances and scripture, leading me to only one compelling conclusion. Given the information presented, as well as the mindset God gave me, I had no choice but to accept what I know.

    "Free" Will

Ok, thanks for clearing that up Barrd. I do understand the concept of freewill, but I still don't agree with it.

    "Free" Will

Wow! I'm a bit confused as to what freewill theory is now. I always thought folks who believe in freewill believe that they have 100% ability to follow Jesus or not to follow Jesus. Is it now the opinion that they have 100% ability to stop sinning? I don't think that's the theory of free...

    "Free" Will

This conversation isn't going to go anywhere unless you can understand what the difference is between the law of Moses and the Law of God. It'll open wide up and blossom when you do see the difference. Jesus expounded and taught about Moses' law. I'll even say he told ONE individual to...

ANALYSIS OF MATTHEW 24:12-13 - WHY IT DISPROVES OSAS

Amen ATP... Nothing more to add!

    "Free" Will

Barrd, There are so many errors in what you wrote, and so little willingness on your part to learn that I won't bother going through them. You wouldn't believe it and show no desire to want to hear it. Paul did teach freedom from the law, he taught we weren't under the law, he didn't keep the...

    "Free" Will

Yet it bothers you that people rely more on Paul's teaching than Jesus's? Yet it bothers you that Jesus called 12 and then called this new guy? Either you're flip flopping or you've updated your stance or I misunderstood your stance on Paul. If the latter is the case, I apologize. But I...

    "Free" Will

Paul said the good I would do, I do not. But the evil that I would not do, that I do. Yea, sure... he kept the law. He kept the law of God, not the law of Moses.
  14. FHII

    "Free" Will

We are not under the law of Moses. Paul said so and Jesus did not ever say that following the law of Moses would save them. Peter also said that no one was even able to keep the law of Moses. AND he said that in defense of what Paul was teaching. What law Paul DID say we were under is the...

    "Free" Will

Barrd: "But He did do that with Paul. " Yes. I know, and how anyone can say God did not press His will against Paul is beyond me. I am also well aware of Paul's past. God didn't seem to care much about it. Why did Jesus pick Paul? Not to clean up Paul's life (though that happened) but...

ANALYSIS OF MATTHEW 24:12-13 - WHY IT DISPROVES OSAS

I'm on your side on this, ATP.... just asking for clarity. Like I said, phoneman invented a boogyman so he would have something to fight.

    What we can prove

F2F I'm not a trinity believer either. I believe in the father, that Jesus was god in the flesh and a manifestation of God, and of course the holy spirit which is the spirit of truth. I just refuse to believe they are separate persons.

    "Free" Will

Barrd, First off, my apologies for mispelling your name. Now then, I too believe God acts behind thr scenes and discretely. Does that violate our free will? Well, it certainly at times might put us in situations we don't want to be in, and Joseph the son of Jacob comes to mind. But it...

ANALYSIS OF MATTHEW 24:12-13 - WHY IT DISPROVES OSAS

ATP, Phonenan777 has said that you believe that God forces himself on those who walk away from him. Is that what you believe?

Well now... I had a feeling you'd be the first to answer, baard! But you didn't answer any of my questions. Answer mine and maybe I'll answer yours.
