Christ's sinless Head with a sinful body?

I'll find our former conversation (it's been locked, bc nothing remained of the others' views that hadn't been answered, they're were just mulling around, hurling insults and doing other empty talking--anything but answering to the Scripture). Lol

Christ's sinless Head with a sinful body?

The crazy thing is the dude REFUSES to interact on the issue when pressed. He can't handle the heat! Lol

Christ's sinless Head with a sinful body?

Ask him whether the Christians in Romans 11:17-23 were told they could be cut off for unbelief even though they had already believed. He won't answer it. Lol He tries to redefine them as "Gentiles therefore not Christians" but it doesn't matter what he wants to call them, all that matters is...

Christ's sinless Head with a sinful body?

Many who believe in salvation by faith alone also believe that that salvation MUST manifest itself in holiness--eg, Spurgeon, who was a Calvinist, said "If you don't care about saving souls, be sure your soul is not saved either."

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

@Rita If you wouldn't mind, I'd like the thread to be locked. I think all the views have been heard.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

I think this thread has run its course--everyone has been heard, hopefully we've all learned something about Scripture--so I think I'll ask for it to be locked.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

I just want to clarify that it took me a long time to learn to bring my difficulties with Scripture to God, so, no, I do not trust in myself--as easy as it is to make that error, and I'd made it, it doesn't lead to solutions to Scriptural difficulties--all I can do when I find difficulties...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

Wish you and I could just stick to the text like when I talk with @marks

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

@marks doesn't have to falsely accuse me because he's confident in his position--your need to falsely accuse me is proof that you are not confident in your position. And how could you be after having had the truth explained to you over and over and over?

I invite anyone to read our discussions--I have absolute confidence that I've proven my case.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

I only just now realized this verse was scooped up out of the middle of one of my favorite passages. Have you considered how that you found that verse literally in the middle of a warning not to fall away from the living God? Hebrews 3 12See to it, brothers, that none of you has a wicked heart...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

Thanks for the clarification--that was kinda dark to think you would have "liked" that.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

LOL "If anyone can prove their arguments from Scripture, and disagrees with me, their conscience is seared." Just state your case, and have it get debunked--no need to "attack the man".

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

    1. No, there are people who actually read the Bible, and sometimes read seemingly contradictory things, but which they are responsible to believe nonetheless--eg, eternal life is indeed said to be a gift, but it is ALSO said to be a repayment for good deeds at the judgment (Ro 2:6-16), or a...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

    1. You're assuming these conditions are static--that they don't change. This is not the case as is seen in Heb 3 where sin can harden the heart turning it into a heart of unbelief whereby the person falls away from the living God. 2. The "little children" are warned to remain in Him (1 Jn 2:28)...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

"They were never of us" because their righteousness of faith is forgotten. It never happened.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

I do not hold that all men are in His Book of Life, but, even if you wanted to assert that, He differentiates between Church members in Sardis, all of whom had been washed, but some of whom had soiled their garments, and some of whom had kept them White, and the latter would not be blotted out...

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

Yes, those who are not in Christ do not have God as their righteousness.

Abiding In Christ Necessary for Eternal Life

Apparently? Well, whether you want to call it "on/off" or not is immaterial--the text doesn't change--God doesn't change, and He still blots names out of His Book today (Rv 3), He forgets righteousness, thus, "they were never of us".
