Hi @VictoryinJesus Justification by faith really involves coming to the end of oneself, and not relying on oneself but on Another.....

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

Hi @Mayflower I really liked @Taken 's matter-of-fact post: From what you've said in the past, I could almost hear you saying much the same thing. As you said recently, I reckon you would say that, if it's to be done (esp. faith based), then just do it boldly and confidently.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

@Taken I reckon there is a distinction between professing and truly believing with the heart.

@Taken I like the way you put that. (You have an apt way of phrasing.)

@Taken Those verses in John 10 are so clear....

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

@Taken Good indeed to make Scripture one's staring point...

Faith-based tattoo: as a result of one, did you ever talk with someone? (Poll included)

PS: @Taken I guess another aspect would be: did you become friendly with the person you know, before or after he or she became a tattoo artist? (I guess some ppl would say, it's irrelevant in any case...)

    What is the fig tree?

@FluffyYellowDuck Another interesting verse is 1 Cor. 10.32, which speaks of Jews, Gentiles and the church of God. It can always be useful to know of which of these a particular Scripture passage is speaking, in context.

@FluffyYellowDuck I reckon in taking you to get it, your mom was simply glad to see you were growing up. Hoping she is doing okay.

    What is the fig tree?

@FluffyYellowDuck In the Gospels the Lord Jesus is also sometimes talking about those of Israel and tribulation saints, rather than about the church today.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

    See Romans 8.38-39.....

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

If there was no real life in the dead branch in the first place, then it won't abide. It's not my works or supposed worthiness that supposedly keeps me in Christ. It's all of Him; it's all of grace.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Romans 8.38-39 is pretty clear..... John's First Epistle says a lot about assurance.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

John 15 is about fruitfulness. Romans 8 makes it clear that a true believer truly is saved; there is no doubt about it...
