@Truman the Levite My wife and I talked to a young woman with the whole of John 3.16 tattooed on her wrist area; and I'm sure other conversations have resulted from willingness of the witnessing young woman, like @Mayflower/ above, to have the inking. It's certainly not for every Christian, but...

Great verses there. Although the word 'Trinity' is not in the Bible, what the word refers to is indeed gloriously present in Scripture.

@Mayflower What a victory, indeed! (1 Corinthians 15.57...) I do find John's short First Epistle to be among the most concentrated and searching books of the Bible, thematically tying in with a lot that's in John's Gospel.

@Ziggy Interesting thoughts there... C H Spurgeon wrote of 'the Popish lumber of self-righteousness', concealed in the human heart.

There is also the view that the Holy Spirit is still in the world before the Rapture of the church, until His restraining influence be taken away before the Great Tribulation; this is a view I would tend to favour.

@VictoryinJesus Paul clearly took many opportunities for witness in highly varying situations. He strenuously objected to the legalism by which some of a Jewish background sought to impose circumcision compulsorily. But he also circumcised Timothy in order that those from a Jewish background...

@Mayflower While it's rather baffling that someone would even voice objection to simple earrings, it's inevitable I guess that different Christians will have varying outlooks about getting tattooed. Someone said: Laish said: But for you and many others, clearly the tattoo parlor offers...

@Mayflower: PS: Looking forward to Proverbs 8, where wisdom personified seems to anticipate the NT's mention of 'Christ Jesus...made unto us wisdom' (1 Corinthians 1.30).
