There are 2 tribulation periods, the “first” is to the Jews

Because certain things had to happen within the first 7 weeks (rebuilding of Jerusalem) and then it would be 62 more weeks before the Messiah would be revealed and then in the 70th week He would be cut off and would confirm the new covenant that replaced the old covenant and its animal...

Some key points pertaining to the parable per Luke 19:11-27.

Speaking of things that are eternal vs. temporary, how does your understanding of Zechariah 14:16-19 line up with this: John 4:19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men...

To what does the APOSTASIA refer

You are just assuming it's talking about a singular event. I see no basis for drawing that conclusion. Regardless, it has to happen first before the rapture (coming of Christ and our being gathered to Him) and you deny that.

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

This is rich coming from you. You are possibly the most overly sensitive person on the entire forum and you're telling others to lighten up. Talk about a lack of self awareness.

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

So, when you do it, it's just "friendly ribbing", but when people who have different beliefs than you do it, it's insults and calling names. Such a double standard. My goodness you are just a little child. What a complete waste of time it is for anyone to try to have a discussion with you. By...

Some key points pertaining to the parable per Luke 19:11-27.

You reject that argument for no good reason. 2 Peter 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men...

Some key points pertaining to the parable per Luke 19:11-27.

How can you say it doesn't? It doesn't say He was going away and would later com to earth to receive a kingdom. It says He was going away from the earth to receive a kingdom. He was given power over the kingdom of God and over all things upon His ascension to the right hand of the Father in...

Some key points pertaining to the parable per Luke 19:11-27.

No, their beliefs were similar to premil in that they expected the Messiah to come and immediately destroy the Roman empire and set up an earthly kingdom. Yes, but not the kind of kingdom that premils believe in where Jesus acts like a world dictator.

Some key points pertaining to the parable per Luke 19:11-27.

No mortal can surive what is described in those passages. It's interesting how premils tend to take everything literally, but suddenly they don't take things literally anymore when it comes to passages like 2 Peter 3:10-12, 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 and 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10. There's no consistency...

Some key points pertaining to the parable per Luke 19:11-27.

If you get that, then why can't you get that some will have more authority than others? Some angels have more authority than others, right? Using your logic, we'd conclude that there's no reason for that. No one knows exactly what that means yet. Scripture does not give us a lot of details...

Some key points pertaining to the parable per Luke 19:11-27.

Where does this say He has stepped foot back on this planet at that point? I believe verse 27 is talking about the judgment, which does not take place in heaven or on earth (Rev 20:11) which is when He will have His enemies cast into the lake of fire. There is a similar parable to that one in...

To what does the APOSTASIA refer

I don't understand that. Should we disregard the following passage and not use it as a way to tell when Christ's return is near since we can't just point to one certain thing that will tell us that this is happening? Matthew 24:10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray...

    Proof of Rapture before Tribulation

If that's what you think, then it's pointless to continue the discussion. I think you don't get it when it comes to this topic and you go overboard with spiritualizing everything. You're kind of the opposite of the dispensationalists who take everything literally. There's no balance there...

    Romans 11:25 - Partially blinded

I don't feel like going over every point. In my view the Jews already fulfilled their mission to bring the gospel to the Gentiles and they dont have any future mission to fulfill. Scripture is clear. God's people are those who belong to Christ (Galatians 3:26-29) which includes all Jew and...

To what does the APOSTASIA refer

Can you see why I'm saying that, at least? It's frustrating when someone doesn't even understand my point regardless of whether you agree with it or not. So, I will explain it one more time. 2 Thessalonians 2:1 Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask...

To what does the APOSTASIA refer

Because of how you seemed to be saying that 1 Timothy 4 is not referring to a mass departure from the faith before Christ returns. So, that made me wonder if you believe that would happen at all since you don't believe that is referenced in 2 thess 2:3, either. It does, though. What else can it...

To what does the APOSTASIA refer

Yes, I know you're saying that and I'm saying that's wrong. I'm saying that Paul called the day of Christ's coming and and our being gathered to Him that he referenced in 2 Thess 2:1 "the day of hte Lord" in verse 2 and then referred to it as "that day" in verse 3. So, in verse 3 Paul said the...

So, asking if he's "one of those feminist type christians" is not insulting and not a case of name calling?

It is time to give Pretrib a decent burial

You're putting a spin on that verse because of your doctrinal bias. It is speaking of judging the dead separately from rewarding the prophets and the rest of the saints. The judgment of the dead is described in Revelation 20:11-15. The reward of believers is described in Revelation 21.

He marginalizes his own comments by doing nothing to back them up and acting as if he proved something. I didn't LOL in response to his post, but rather to someone else's post related to his posting style. I've already said that I'm going to cut down on the LOLs, so don't worry about that. But...
