What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

Okay, cool. Again, "the harvest" simply represents "the end of the age". That's it. It's the end of the age. Harvest = end of the age. You are still trying to read more into it than that for some reason. But, that's what Jesus said: "The harvest is the end of the age". Matthew 13:37 He...

The Galilean wedding is the model for the pre-trib rapture

It's honestly almost shocking that you even recognize that. You sometimes come across like you think every verse in Revelation is about a different event. And now you've gone off the rails. I give you kudos for recognizing that there are parallel visions in the book of Revelation, but you are...

The Galilean wedding is the model for the pre-trib rapture

That came across as very incoherent, but what I did catch is that you said something about Jesus stepping onto the Mount of Olives. Jesus will not be setting foot on the Mount of Olives in the future. That certainly is not said at all in Acts 1 and you are misinterpreting Zechariah 14. Tell me...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

Did you read Jesus's explanation of that parable in Matthew 13:36-43? If not, you should. It makes it much easier to understand the parable. Jesus said that "the harvest" represents "the end of the age" (Matthew 13:39). The KJV says "the end of the world" but the words "age" and "world" are...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

The order that things happen has nothing to do with the point I'm making in this thread. Can you understand that? What exactly did Paul say was a mystery in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Us being caught up to Christ? Or something else? Read it for yourself and see. Our bodies being changed is the...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

Did you even bother reading what I said in my post? It doesn't seem like it. Do you understand that the term "rapture" refers specifically to being caught up? More will happen on that day than just us being caught up. The dead in Christ will be resurrected. And we will all have our bodies...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

Do you think it helps your case when you constantly misrepresent other's views? It doesn't. It makes it look like you are either lying or you have no reading comprehension skills. Nowhere did Jeff, or any of us who see it like him, say or imply that he expects "God to pinpoint His coming"...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

You continue to invent things that aren't taught in scripture anywhere. The two folds that Jesus talked about were believing Jews and believing Gentiles. Who brought them together as one through His sacrifice on the cross. You clearly don't understand what I believe because I agree with that...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

Amen. This is called interpreting scripture with scripture which is a foreign concept to pre-trib dispensationalists.

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

Good point, Jeff! Not only did Paul include himself as being part of what is described in 1 Thess 4:14-17, but he also included himself in what is described here: 1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the...

The Galilean wedding is the model for the pre-trib rapture

LOL at the idea of the white horses being literal. They are not. Christ's coming is described symbolically in Revelation 19. He will not be literally riding on a white horse when He comes. Please ask God for wisdom to be able to discern the difference between literal and symbolic text (James 1:5-7).

The Galilean wedding is the model for the pre-trib rapture

It really is. We address opposing arguments and present our views in detail and then get accused of avoiding their arguments. Their childishness level is off the charts. I've seen third graders who are more mature than these guys. Plus, we've already won the debate going away. We should just...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

You have no idea how you come across. Your doctrine is so convoluted, it's just unbelievable. Do the following not both refer to the Lord coming for the dead in Christ? 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

No, there are not. That is not what I said and you know it. I was saying that both passages are about what will happen at Christ's one and only future second coming. He will descend from heaven once in the future, not 5 times as you ridiculously believe. No, I'm not. Is this all you have? You...

The Galilean wedding is the model for the pre-trib rapture

There have been so many posts at this point that I'm not going to take the time to try to find them. Where is the scripture which refers to a rapture of the 144,000? I asked you that before and you didn't answer the question. If you did, I missed it. Which can happen since there are so many...

The Galilean wedding is the model for the pre-trib rapture

Yes, obviously. Why do you think they are called "foolish"? Where else are saved people called "foolish" in scripture? Nowhere. You always interpret verses or passages in isolation from other scripture. If your interpretation of any given verse or passage contradicts other scripture, you...

The Galilean wedding is the model for the pre-trib rapture

It indicates very clearly what happens to them, but you are too stubborn to admit that. Everything that I highlight in red in the following passage relates to what will happen to those who are left. Luke 17:26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

This is very simple. Matthew 13:30 is about the same thing as Matthew 25:31-46. It's talking about the gathering of all people for judgment before the throne of Christ. Whereas 1 Thessalonians 4:16 is talking about believers being gathered to Him "in the air" after He descends from heaven. The...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

This can't be taken seriously. Both are said to occur when the dead in Christ are resurrected. 1st Thessalonians 4:14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you...

What is the mystery that Paul references in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52? Is it the rapture (catching up to Christ) as pretrib teaches or something else?

Agree completely, but in this thread I just wanted to talk about what the mystery is that Paul referenced in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. Pretribs want to make the rapture (catching up to Christ) the mystery so that they can claim it was never referenced in any way before, even though Jesus alluded...
