Thanks to all who voted in the poll so far! NB: If you have not yet voted in the poll, please vote now! :)

What does having the 'Mind of Christ' mean?

We should search the Scriptures and we cannot expect the Lord to communicate His mind to us, unless we do so, prayerfully.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Would likely be my attitude also.

What does having the 'Mind of Christ' mean?

Psalm 119.105; John 17.17, etc., would indeed have us take a very high view of searching God's Word in order to know His way more fully.

What does having the 'Mind of Christ' mean?

    2 Corinthians 10.5, indeed. :)

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

Here are some good principles from Romans 14: "Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him. 4 Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be...

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

The context of those verses quoted is fornication. I would be hard pressed to tell a young lady (such as my wife and I talked to) with a Bible verse on her wrist area - likely gotten for witness purposes - that she is therefore a fornicator.

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

I'm referring to a physical event; the Scriptural return of the bodily risen Redeemer.

What does having the 'Mind of Christ' mean?

And an active pursuit of this involves exercise in things from Scripture such as Philippians 4.8 describes; "think on these things".

The Church The Papacy Says You Should Join

Great verses there; and Ephesians 4 also stresses the great importance of truth and doctrine for those who stand and grow into their glorious Head, and are not 'tossed to and fro'.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

I would first refer to Romans 14, and then address such topics in terms of what Romans 14 says.

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

1 Corinthians 11.26 also, applying specifically to the church.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

It's not called a nose ring thread :) (There was some discussion of piercing, so it was more relevant there on the other thread...)

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

Plenty of verses in the New Testament about the Three Persons of the Godhead: Matthew 28; Romans 8; John's Gospel, especially chapters 13 - 17; John's First Epistle, etc.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

When it comes to many things, it is inevitable that Christians may prayerfully come to their own conclusions about a whole host of matters which may not be the same as what other Christians may prefer or conclude. Romans 14 - the chapter on Christian liberty - would strongly imply that this is...

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

(Replied already on a thread about piercing...)

Ear piercing: for sons as well as for daughters: is it appropriate? (plus poll)

(This thread is more relevant to your post.) I don't think I recently raised nose rings, but when someone else did, I think I may have referred to Genesis where the unnamed servant of Isaac gave Rebekah a nose ring as a token of the pledge of the union; and in Ezekiel 16.12 the Lord Himself...

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

(I'll reply to your post on the other thread which is more topical.)
  19. F

What does having the 'Mind of Christ' mean?

Indeed. (My ref.s for the previous post would be: Hebrews 7.12; Hebrews 7.19.)

Has Jesus come in the spirit?

1 Corinthians 11.26 causes the believer to look up and forward to the future...
