Good verse to remember there. When ppl speak of revelation and then seem to indicate that they mean something outside Scripture itself, I'm immediately doubtful that the word revelation is being used in its primary, Biblical sense.

It's a public symbol of faith already professed. In Acts 2.41 those who were baptised had already received the preaching of the Gospel gladly.

It's good over the long term to read a balance of Old and New Testament passages. My wife and I try to do that together.
