    Flat Earth Theory

You know I love you sister. You will never be my enemy and same to @doctrox and @David in NJ. That being said, I’m done with flat earth debate, it’s divisive and serves no purpose and one side will never move the other side.

Who goes back with Jesus in the pre-tribulation rapture?

Paul says we're baptized into one body, and a few verses later says we are the body of Christ. He's describing the same people two ways — as the thing itself, and as those who are brought into it. Ephesians 2:19–22 puts it plainest. Paul says we're no longer strangers but fellow citizens and...

Who goes back with Jesus in the pre-tribulation rapture?

@WPM makes a good point there. "The New Jerusalem is not just described as a city, it is also described as being the bride of Christ." The heavenly Jerusalem isn't a literal city — it's a spiritual city, made up of the bride of Christ. The people are the city.

Who goes back with Jesus in the pre-tribulation rapture?

Then why would you argue my point then? Do you think these verses are talking about a future event? Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Eph 5:32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning...

    Flat Earth Theory

Scripture interprets Scripture means clear passages help you understand unclear ones. It doesn't mean you take a verse about the sun's circuit and use it to decide whether "four corners" is literal. Those verses aren't about the same thing. Whether "four corners" is a figure of speech is...

    Flat Earth Theory

Joshua said stop the sun and moon. God did it. But the mechanism isn't given — the text says what happened in the sky, not what moved to make it happen. A flat earther will say the sun stopped moving. A globe believer will say the earth stopped spinning. Both produce the same thing in the sky...

    Flat Earth Theory

Agreed. You read "shall not be moved" as steadfastness, not physical position. Nobody thinks David was nailed to the ground. Same Hebrew phrase in Psalm 93:1 and 96:10. And in 1 Chronicles 16:30 it's David himself using it of the world. So what tells you it flips to physical position there?

Psa 16:8 — "I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved." Does that verse mean David's body was bound in place?

    Flat Earth Theory

The Hebrew word for circle is translated as “a circuit” in the book of Job. The earths orbit is also a circuit doesn’t that prove the earth orbits around the sun? I’m being facetious but this same logic is how flat earthers “prove” the earth is flat.

Who goes back with Jesus in the pre-tribulation rapture?

The lamb and the lions are symbols. The new is the new man, it’s not symbolic of anything, it’s a new creation in the believer. So the example you give doesn’t work. Now what I don’t understand is why do you question the fact the new man is created by a union between the believer and Christ...

Prayer for new Mel Gibson Movie

Exactly! The passion of the Christ movie had a Jesus with his right eye darkened. Zec 11:17 Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.

I don’t understand you sometimes David.

    Flat Earth Theory

You just said the four corners of Israel aren’t describing the geometry or even a square. So why is the same phrase geometric when it’s applied to the earth. I’m sure you see the obvious problem here. You’re picking and choosing when four corners is literal and when it’s not. If it fits your...

Do you also believe the land of Israel was a square?

Who goes back with Jesus in the pre-tribulation rapture?

Is there a new man in you? Are you born again? Are you one flesh with Christ? Eph 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. Eph 5:31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. Eph...

    Flat Earth Theory

Do you take this verse as written? Ezekiel 7:2 says the end has come "upon the four corners of the land" — the land of Israel. Was Israel a square? Nobody thinks so. It means the whole land, every direction. That's what the phrase has always meant. We still talk this way — the four corners of...

Who goes back with Jesus in the pre-tribulation rapture?

The new man exists. By Paul's own law, that fruit is only legitimate inside the marriage. So either the believer is already married to Christ, or Jesus committed adultery. There's no third option.

Who goes back with Jesus in the pre-tribulation rapture?

I went back and read it again, and I'm glad you see it. But this is only one of many verses that get misunderstood — and each misunderstanding builds on the last until the truth is buried completely.

Who goes back with Jesus in the pre-tribulation rapture?

You’re missing the point David. It can not be incorrect. The disciples are dead and in heaven now. It’s impossible that Jesus could “come again” to them, they’re no longer in this realm.

Who goes back with Jesus in the pre-tribulation rapture?

I’m not saying Jesus prepared the place while he was in hell, the place was prepared the moment Jesus died on the cross. When Jesus said I go to prepare a place for the he’s saying he’s going to the cross to pay the price for us. The only reason Old Testament saints didn’t go to heaven is...
