    Before hitting Post...

From my X / Twitter “For you feed” this evening: “A few quick reminders for every believer before hitting ‘submit’: Speak truth with love (Eph 4:15) Be quick to listen, slow to speak (Ja 1:19) Let your words build up, not tear down (Eph 4:29) Don’t repay insult with insult (1Pet 3:9) Avoid...

    Non-biblical church rules

Only an ordained minister can give communion.

    Non-biblical church rules

Can you elaborate on this? I thought Scripture's "filthy language" was curse words.

    Guard your Whimsy

I'm thriving these days. Im glad whimsy has come back into my life. Dance break while loading the dishwasher. Noticing the wind singing through the leaves. Watercolor finger painting. Making terrible poetry. Terrible art. Long abstract conversation with hubby.

    Happy Holy Mama

There's been a lot of conversations about the struggles and burdens of motherhood. I'm not here to say motherhood is never a struggle. But I do believe these ordinary burdens and struggles can be for our good. Instead of complaining about dishes, we can send a thank you to the Father that we...

What Are You Up To Today?

Im excited because it's 56 degrees and sunny! Perfect for picking out a fall outfit, running errands, taking the kids to the park on a whim! There's lots of dishes in the sink to do but that's cause we ate well and it gives this housewife a purpose. Today's going to be great.

Learning to Have a Meek and Quiet Spirit

Thank you but I also hope you stick around as well. I love Scripture but I draw the line at being argumentative and correcting men on doctrine. Paul wrote I suffer not a woman to teach... Not to say men are always right but it's men who are to safeguard doctrine.

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

Like you, I haven't I can't legally house anyone else. I rent. Can you explain why not housing a homeless person is a sin?

Sinless Perfection. Why do so many teach against what Jesus taught?

I think a lot of churches are against any teaching on sinless perfection because they prefer to get as many tithing members committed as possible who don't come close to that. I'm no authority on the topic but I think the issue of sin is always about  today and right now. If we say sincerely...

We are truly blessed over here. My youngest is in a biting object phase. He's still very calm and happy. Daughter's first song is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, though she mostly hums it. Hubby's doing great.

Learning to Have a Meek and Quiet Spirit

For me, meek and quiet involves not needing to say when Im praying all the time, and not correcting doctrine for males. Occasionally I slip up but its gotten better.

What does loving your neighbor look like in today's world?

Loving others is like building muscle. The more you practice loving others, the more your capacity to love others increases.

30 Reasons To Quit Social Media

The best thing about Facebook admittedly was being able to join groups with like minded people. I joined a Traditional Christian Wives group and I got a great friendship out of it. But my friend and I both left Facebook afterward. If there were some sort of Unchurched Christians who love...
