    Scriptures that Refute Calvinism

If Calvinism really taught that God is the author of sin, then it would be devilish, but as I and others have tried to point out to you many times, Calvinism does not teach that. It is very difficult to discuss things with somebody who redefines what I believe.

    Crucifixion Question

Yes I know there were two robbers crucified with Jesus. I didn't think I had said there was only one. Sorry if I gave you that impression. I wasn't speculating, just reading what the bible says. Sorry, I was answering what you wrote: "Not every gospel says he mocked Jesus. Matthew and Mark...

    Crucifixion Question

Of course not. Yes we know he was a thief/robber, and we know from the record of the crucifixion that he was a mocker of Jesus. So don't you believe in things, or are unsure of things, that are recorded by Matthew but not by the other gospel writers? Things like the wise men visiting the...

    Crucifixion Question

First of all, let me assure you that I wasn't seeking to take away from or add to Scripture. That is why I used the word "unlikely", not "impossible." My reasoning is twofold: First, we are not told that he was baptized, and second, how could he have been baptized whilst hanging on a cross...

    Scriptures that Refute Calvinism

I don't think it can be right for you to tell me what I believe. John Calvin himself didn't teach that God causes sin. For instance, he wrote: "It is God who created, preserves, actuates and directs all things. But it by no means follows, from these premises, that God is therefore the cause...

I have my doubts that Catholicism is Christianity

Thanks for explaining. I don't agree that there are two separate salvations, one granted by the Father, the other by the Son, but at least I know what you mean now. Thanks again.

I have my doubts that Catholicism is Christianity

Sorry, but I am puzzled. You seem to say that Christ's salvation is different from God (the Father's) salvation. How are they different, in your view?

Was judas Iscariot used by Satan ??

No, I may be holding a belief which I am unable to convince you is true, but that works both ways, because you cannot convince me the the devil is not supernatural. There are plenty of Christians, probably many on this forum, who do believe as I do that Satan is supernatural. Maybe one of them...

    Crucifixion Question

Yes, and we know from Scripture that to start with, both of the thieves mocked Jesus: “Likewise the chief priests also, mocking with the scribes and elders, said, “He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe...

    OSAS : Gnostic Heresy

Do you mean, "Was Abraham's wealth the reason he was not close to God?" I would say that according to the bible, he was close to God. We read: “And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of...

    Scriptures that Refute Calvinism

That just is not so. I believe the so-called doctrines of grace, sometimes called Calvinism. When I sin, I seek God's forgiveness. I certainly don't say that He caused me to sin. Have you ever come across a Calvinist who actually says that they believe that God causes perverts to rape...

Where did we get The Bible? - A IN-DEPTH STUDY

Hebrews 11:35 doesn't say that the women's dead were martyred. It says: “Women received their dead raised to life again. And others were tortured, not accepting deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection.” (Heb 11:35 NKJV) It doesn't say they were sons - they could have been...

Was judas Iscariot used by Satan ??

Post 338 just says: "I think we are being repetitive. You are not going to convince me that the devil is not a supernatural being, and I doubt I can convince you that he is, so I am leaving this thread now." Nothing about resisting entering God's word, just my reason for leaving this thread.

Was judas Iscariot used by Satan ??

I did not resist entering God's word. If you think I did, quote the post where, according to you, I did so.

Was judas Iscariot used by Satan ??

You cannot know what is in my heart. You may not believe that the reason I gave for leaving the discussion was true, but I say it is.

I have my doubts that Catholicism is Christianity

I'm not ignoring things, assuming that is what you meant by, "You guess have to stop ignoring things." Works must follow faith. In other words, if somebody claims to have faith, if it results in no change to the life, no works, that shows that the faith is dead. But a person is saved by...

Was judas Iscariot used by Satan ??

and if you want to know why "David exited the stage," read my own posts where I gave my reasons.

Was judas Iscariot used by Satan ??

That is not the reason I withdrew. I stated my reason. I gave my reason. Neither of us was convincing the other, and we were both becoming repetitive. This is a discussion forum, and I don't leave discussions just because somebody disagrees with me. I assure you I haven't been dishonest.

Was judas Iscariot used by Satan ??

It is certainly not my intention to send any message by retreating from the thread, apart from not wanting to prolong our arguments back and forth with you saying that Satan is not supernatural and me saying that he is. Thank you for the discussion.

The Sealed Gate is MOVING in Jerusalem – A Divine Sign of Christ’s Return?

Thanks for explaining that. It certainly looked like a reply from you.
