What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

Then how do you reconcile Romans 7 unless you don't believe Paul was speaking of himself in verses 7-9 wherein it's all 1st person singular and mentions something very specific, "concupiscence" per the KJV, or "covetousness/covetous desires", as in other translations?

    Thanks for your thoughtful response.

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

The devil tempts. God allows us to be tempted but the devil tempts. And I don't call it, the bible describes it in Paul's own words. The KJV, which I typically read from, and a few other translations, translate as "concupiscence", but most translations say covetousness as does the interlinear...

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

God does not tempt. James 1:13 13Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Were We Alive In Heaven Before We Were Born?

"That which is perfect" is not Christ nor the great day of the Lord. Jesus is not a "that" and neither is the great day of the Lord. Referring to either in that contrite manner is extremely derogatory, unbecoming both. Go figure what it means. I've written about this before. Look it up.

    Big Baptism Argument!

Yes, all those you mentioned lack that clear understanding of scripture. And, numbers don't justify falsehoods. "Few there be that find it". And remember Noah? 8 were saved out of the the entire population of the world at that time.

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

God does not send temptations. And you are the one saying these things here not me. I never said anything of the kind. These are your words. Goodbye

    When is the great tribulation?

Granted, there are things occurring now and that have been occurring that could be construed to be consistent with revelation, e.g.; the growing embrace and use of RFID chip implants in the hand especially in Europe, the drying up of the Euphrates River which is almost totally dried up now, the...

Is “Easter” in the original Scriptures?

Easter is an anomaly only found in the KJV and an improper translation by those translators who took the liberty to impose that word in lieu of 'pascha' which is translated as passover.

    Predestination: A Calvinist Fairy Tale.

I've posted this elsewhere on this forum but I'll also repost it here as it's germane to this discussion. Predestination (based upon the foreknowledge of God) Premise: God knows the beginning and the end, so therefore he must also know all that will occur within the entire expanse of time...

Let the dead bury their own dead

Jesus was blunt and to the point. He also said the below as recorded in Mat 10 "34Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. 35For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law...

    When is the great tribulation?

Great tribulation (not THE great tribulation) WAS in 70 AD.

Were We Alive In Heaven Before We Were Born?

God doesn't speak audibly to anyone today; he speaks to us thru his written word, so, I don't know what you heard, but it wasn't the Lord.

the lord god you dont know corrupt team . he has murdered hundred innocent people

Just read the OT and you'll see that God is intolerant, steadfast, and not wishy-washy. There were many ungodly groups of people that were totally enialated; men, women, children, and even their livestock. God also was intolerant of Israel in their disobedience as well.

Were We Alive In Heaven Before We Were Born?

God knew us because of his foreknowledge not because we were alive prior to our birth

Is the Devil using LGBTQ to destroy christian churches?

Are those so-called Christian churches that embrace such nonsense really Christian to begin with?? Just look at their beliefs and doctrins for that answer. The vast majority don't know how souls are saved.

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

Paul was a human being, a male, and one can only assume he had the same urges and desires as do all. And what I'm suggesting is being opposed to his thorn being a physical or medical problem which I referred to as a physical ailment. In this regard the Lord's statement makes zero sense. If Paul...

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

As I recently supplemented my post to negate the view that it was a physical ailment becsuse the Lord's response would therefore make no sense, I'll repeat it again for you. If it was a physical ailment, Paul's question to the Lord would NOT have prompted the response he received. The Lord's...

What was Paul's thorn in the flesh?

Where's all the responses? Erased? Oh well. But I thought I'd supplement my OP with the following to help people in their understanding of this topic, due to the obvious confusion from what I recall from the responses posted. Many responses to this seemed to suggest Paul's thorn in the flesh...
