Western Trinitarians, do not follow the early church teaching.

I think that He eminated into a spiritual being long before He was incarnated, at the beginning of time. Beginning of time is not eternity. Time is this creation so no I do not believe that He always existed nor did the HS.

Agreed. But do you agree that there was a time when Jesus came into an eminated form whereas the Father always was as He is eternal?

Western Trinitarians, do not follow the early church teaching.

Believing in the Trinity could be the requisite for taking part in the debate forums at least. Scripture says that the Father is not begotten but Jesus is, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father (not the Son). God is spirit and has no beginning yet His Son 'eminates' from Him as the early...

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

You are making more assumptions, as is your way. I have nothing to do with holiness churches. They base their doctrine of a further event in sanctification, on early church teaching pf theosis, but have gone far astray on it till it does not resemble it at all these days, but in the early years...

I too thought that this was the begetting but think now it was when God the Father produced His Son in order to enter space and time and create all.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

The Holy Spirit points things out to us that need our attention. If you do not believe that then you are having a relationship with a book and not a living faith. It is not latter day revelation, as there is nothing new under the sun but that which we confirm in scripture. For most of church...

Because they were in the same boat as the second son. They also did not obey Gods commandments. They gave the correct answer and Jesus was showing them they knew they were gulity condemning themselves. Apologies I did not see that one. I really don't see how you could come to that conclusion...

Western Trinitarians, do not follow the early church teaching.

Oh now I think back, that was my second from 1976, totally worn out before I found out it was Dispensational. I did not depend on its notes though and ended up Reformed. My first was a Good News one in 1973, gifted by the couple who led me to the Lord, which I soon became fed up with.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

Thank you I accept your apology. I asked you why Jesus rebuked the answer you gave that it was the first son who was obedient. “The first,” they answered. Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32 For John...

Western Trinitarians, do not follow the early church teaching.

My oldest worn out Bible is 50 years old thank you. I believe in the Trinity as three in one persons, all divine and as you have not bothered to take notice of my beliefs, I will not further converse with you unless you do thank you.

But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: (John 15:26) The Father is from eternity unbegotten, the Son begotten: "According to Saint Gregory the Theologian, trying to go further...

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

I cannot have respect for a man who makes a deal and then gets out of it by not answering my question .

He revealed to me that was the standard of obedience He requires.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

God taught me it at the time l was seeking entire sanctification. I have not read it anywhere else. It is not one that is usually discussed.

But there are different reasons to regret. Fear of the consequences is the most usual.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

We need to take into account which one Jesus said was the obedient one and He showed that it was not the first one. Therefore it was the second even though he did not make it. We can assume he intended to. When Jesus says jump we are not to stand thinking about it.

Lessons learned from Jesus: the parable of the two sons, Biblical repentance #2

The point of the parable is the comparison of the sons therefore l do not think the second changed his .mind. Obedience .must be instant . It is about attitude.
