Interesting concept here. I don't know that not believing in the Trinity would make a person any less of a good person. The JWs do not believe in the Trinity and I know some personally and they are very good people (as far as a person can be good) and many times better than the Christians I know...

The CHURCH, to which you claim to belong... has believed and taught the Trinity (the inner workings of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit) for the past 2,000 years. WHO or WHAT has convinced you that the church is wrong and you are right?

This was for Trevor. Why are you asking for a verse? Do you trust the bible this much? Then why not trust what it states? It teaches that Jesus is God. It teaches that the Holy Spirit is a Person. The community, to which you claim adherence, accepts both Jesus as being God and that the Holy...

Well NotTheRock that's what YOU say.... but why should Christianity be defined by what YOU believe? Did YOU create the Christian religion or was it already present when you became a member of it? Are you a member of it? You don't say. Do you believe Jesus is God? Do you believe He died and...

So do you agree or not? I have the answer to the question I asked. Sorry Trevor,,,I don't know everyone on here. Your salvation is between you and God. I'm not referring to salvation. But exactly what do you think defines you as Christian? Christianity was already defined 2 thousand years...

I live in a small town of about 5,000. Born in a smaller town of about 1,200. Knew many a grandma with her simple faith. But that grandma followed what the church taught here.... That Jesus is God and that He is to be worshipped. Doubt the hypostatic union was ever mentioned even by the priest...

Your discussing the Divinity of Jesus. I'm trying to understand what Christians are SUPPOSED to believe.... what exactly causes one to be defined as Christian? Are there some rules that define a person as Christian? Or can a person fabricate their own definiton of what Christian means? Is...

It's not important that the Trinity be understood. Most do not; however, they accept it as a fact that has always been believed and taught by the church, and eventually the churches (after the reformation). Even those of the reformation believed that Jesus is God and also the Holy Spirit...

I agree totally. But then Jesus appeared and so did the religion that came to be known as Christianity. Christianity believes in the 10 Commandments, but they are not a tenet of the Christian religion.... they signify Christian morals that must be kept. The 10 Commandments are believed by all...

The mud slingers sling mud whenever they can. And best to keep away from history...something might be learned that is uncomfortable. Will look into this some more in the morning. Jerome is a good lead. Hahn, Bergsma? In my first reading I tended to go with three. Will bow out now. Good night.

@RomeSweetHome Just look at the first few versions on biblehub.... looks like we just can't be certain... New International Version Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother, his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. 3 or 4 New Living Translation Standing near the...

Not going to join this conversation because I don't understand why it's so important to know exactly who was at the foot of the cross. But, just out of interest, I looked into it a little using Google. Trying the Catholic sites. I can't get a definitive answer and trying to figure it out, for...

I've said this several times now... I used to teach our faith to kids (10 - 13) and I knew that whenever I used any kind of example to explain the Trinity it was, as you've stated, wandering off into some heresy or other. I do believe that the Trinity is a sine qua non belief to be...

I didn't mention anything about AFTER. I said that Jesus was born of a virgin. It's a MIRACULOUS birth. Do you also not believe in the miracle birth of Jesus? IF you can believe in that... why not the Trinity? It's the same concept. We cannot understand everything about God. But some...

Yeah !!

What are you shocked about @Lambano ?

NOTHING works for taxes!!

GH.... Do you believe Jesus was born of a virgin? HOW COULD THAT BE? It's impossible!!

Yes ma'am! Self-proclaimed ! And proud of it. There's a problem with the young generation. They seem to believe socialism is good. These universities teach that capitlism is not a fair system and that socialism is fair to everyone. Yes. It's very fair to everyone. It levels the playing...

Maybe you could read the 11 pages....which I, of course, have not....and then become convinced to join the Islamic faith .
