So because I am a son of man, I cannot therefore be a man?

The fact that you agree that God is the Father of Jesus, Jesus being the Son of God, is the greatest and most sure evidence there is that Jesus is God. What else could Jesus possibly be seeing we all agree He is the Son of God? The Bible is replete with numerous affirmations from the beginning...

The world and everyone in it is fast approaching that time in its history when it will have to make the ultimate choice. All will have to make up their minds as to what profession they will live by... I have no other king but Caesar....or....I have no other King but Jesus. In making that...

It is error to claim that ... "In the present day, it is no longer expedient that the Catholic religion should be held as the only religion of the State, to the exclusion of all other forms of worship". Allocution “Nemo vestrum,” July 26, 1855 Also see syllabus of errors, 77 Syllabus of...

The quote from that certain Pope, that he considers himself as holding God's place on earth, could, with a certain determination, be construed to mean merely as a representative, or ambassador. In fact, one could, if he was of a mind to, readily accept @Philip James and @Illuminator 's defense...

The irony is that the Catholic Church will champion free speech and freedom of conscience for themselves when the government is protestant, (those concepts being protestant ethics), but will deny those things for others if the government be Catholic.

Now? That idea goes back centuries.

What do you think the meaning of Jesus was in saying... KJV Matthew 5:21-22 21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: (6th commandment) 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother...

Oh horrors!!!

I wouldn't laugh. It's going to happen.

While I am not averse to discussion on the Godhead, even debate so long as all participants remember the holiness of the subject, which subject had been repeatedly touched upon, pulled apart, roasted and grilled elsewhere on many threads dedicated to the topic, my intent for this thread was to...

@Illuminator @BreadOfLife and numerous others. A concerning trend in science over the last 5 or so years, maybe more, is the worst development since the trial of Galileo and friends. That trend, particularly in the media and several left wing governments (such as in NZ where Jacinda Adern...

I remember as if yesterday, telling the local priest that I had just received Jesus into my life and been saved. That was 45 years ago. He looked like he'd swallowed a sour grapefruit, didn't know what to say and turned away without a word. I wonder if any Catholic truly understands what it...

What????

Well said. A book I read some 30 or so years ago was highly revealing. Written by an investigative journalist, titled "In God's Name", it was a fascinating insight into Vatican finance, in particular the Vatican Bank and it's connections to Italian Mafia and several scandals I involving the then...
