God does not want you to be friendless. His word, it is not good for man to be alone, doesn't only apply to marriage. If you don't have friends in your local congregation , there can only be two reasons. First, and sorry to have to suggest this, it may be because you haven't shown yourself...

Oh dear, looks like every Democrat head has been summarily triggered. Even though mail in fraud in voting is a proven thing, doesn't matter. Democrats want it, and the slightest suggestion they won't get their way I hear the slamming doors, the fists against walls, and the stamping of feet all...

Total flu deaths in 2017... Of people over age 90...400!! Where was the hysterical panic and declarations of concern for the elderly 3 tears ago? Where were the calls for masks and social distancing and the desolation of the economy then?

Well, that's what they'll tell you yes. Something ‘strange’ is going on as ‘collective hysteria takes hold’

True. But not yet. The tares and wheat grow together until the harvest. Why? What can the allegorical sophistries of Origen and the false Trinity of Alexandria do for me? And what can the ritualism and sacramentalism of Constantinople and Rome offer? To what advantage would it be for me to...

America has the appearance of a Christian nation, but in practice the experience of the dragon. KJV Revelation 13 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

I didn't say they were apostates. My meaning was that some of their ideas revealed the beginning of a fall into apostasy. The church which sprung from their teachings continued to fall. Those so called "early church fathers" promoted so prominently by the Catholic Church were not the only...

The irony today is that schools wishing to avail themselves if government subsidies are bound to honor government curriculums, which today do not reflect in any way shape or form the principles of the founding fathers of America. All very true, which explains why debate and discussion today is...

Hahahaha. I just realised.. Yes, it is off topic. Way off. Or is it?

One thing you must remember when demanding freedom of religion for yourself. To only allow certain sects into your community and you having the final say as to who those should be, regardless of the numbers and diversity in the end result, is not religious freedom. That is religious toleration...

In the late 1800s it took an impassioned and erudite plea from Seventh Day Adventist, AT Jones before the US congressional sub committee to help defeat a proposal to introduce Sunday laws in Washington DC. Interestingly, Sunday blue laws have been defended by the USSC on several occasions...

The above quote tells me that your quote below... .. Is just empty rhetoric. You haven't dug deep enough. Keep digging.

Now you may think that because that pope wrote a few letters to the effect that religious freedom is now all the go in Vatican circles, 1500 years of war, persecution, hated and bigotry against anything not of Rome, suggests to me that the leopard has not, and despite protestations to the...

Our actions are formed through our relationship with Jesus. By beholding we become changed. By beholding Jesus, in His self sacrificial loving goodness, we become like Him. Some however have a very skewed understanding of who God is. They think He's cruel, tyrannical, unapproachable, distant...

Sorry @Grailhunter I wasnt intending to quote your post, I was replying to @Yehren and asking him initially what his thoughts were toward Catholic attitudes toward the constitution and freedom of religion. But seeing your here lol... May I ask your to expand on this please?

See, I'm somewhat confused by your enthusiastic support for separation, considering the Catholic Church historical ambivalence and at times outright hostility toward the constitution. Freedom of religion has long been the furthest principle from the minds of those in the curia and Halls of power...

Yep, I meet it all the time as a Seventh Day Adventist wanting to share the blessings that come with observing the Sabbath. I'm always met with an automated reply that refuses to consider our think about other options... The reply I always get is, we don't have to obey the law any more. That's...

I totally agree with you. Separation didn't mean a complete expunging of faith in politics... In fact the separation clause was established upon the premise of faith. Oh, and the biggest champions of church state separation and freedom of religion is the SDA Church, and the chaplain you spoke of...

For those kiwis here may be interested a new political party just launched today. I don't recommend the music, but the speeches are interesting... They express much of what we talk about here...

I could add more, like the promise made by Jesus Himself to Adam and Eve in the garden. Did you know the more correct understanding of Eve's declaration when she gave birth to Cain would be a paraphrase saying something like, I have gotten from the Lord, the Lord. There is sound language...
