Scripture is not the last word.

Do you believe there are exceptions (according to what is written)? And how do you know what is "twisted" from what is "new" and being untwisted? (Matthew 13:52) The scriptures are full of examples of the "new" revelations from God being taken as "twisted" and just how wrong the people of God...

Scripture is not the last word.

    I wholeheartedly agree!
  3. ScottA

Scripture is not the last word.

If you are up to stating these truths, why then do you not believe it enough to receive what you have never heard before of what is "new", as if just waiting to die?

Why didnt the Protestant Reformation unite.

Proverbs 16:9 "A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps." Many look at disunity as anything but direction from God...but that is not how God actually works. Just ask Paul when you see him, if his parting with Barnabas did not have its benefits to the gospel being preached by...

Scripture is not the last word.

Whether or not you believe that God has authored the best book ever written and that the world is his greatest achievement, or that the natural comes first and is least compared with the spiritual which comes last and greatest, and the kingdom of heaven is his true glory...is only of consequence...

Scripture is not the last word.

This statement you cannot defend. But the scriptures are what support what I have written, because they are One and the same.

Scripture is not the last word.

It is I who have rebuked you.

Scripture is not the last word.

It is as I said: You have left out and denied most of the written word that speaks of the ministry of Christ by the Holy Spirit, that was to occur during these times according to God. When the spirit offered the means of pressing on and fulfilling all that is written...you got off the bus.
  9. ScottA

Scripture is not the last word.

Not so. Jesus did quote bits of scripture, and so have I. But you have left out and denied much of it. For instance, you say here that "The Bible is always telling us to not go beyond what is written." But the scriptures say to "press on", and even "leave behind the elementary principles of...

1 Corinthians 2 is so abused

Because Paul was not met or sent by Jesus in the flesh, but in the spirit.
  11. ScottA

Scripture is not the last word.

I have not given you my word, that you should reject it. But I have given you God's word in full, and you reject it just because it is me bringing it to light.
  12. ScottA

Scripture is not the last word.

    Quotable.
  13. ScottA

Scripture is not the last word.

No, again you misunderstand. It is the law that was fulfilled that was the foreshadowing of what we now see happening with the scriptures, and Christians now make the same mistake as Israel. But it is the law that is the legal precedence for what we are rightfully to do now...meaning not return...

Scripture is not the last word.

You contradict yourself. First you explain the process as being first natural and then spiritual (as the scriptures say), then you go back to saying but the natural or words written on stone tablets is the end of the process, which it is not, bu rather the beginning.

Why does Paul make statements that sound a lot like salvation is at least partially by works?

The scriptures are not defined by word-smithing, but "must be discerned spiritually." Paul is simply reflecting on the same point made by James, regarding faith without works...which is another poor choice of words. But both are to be understood as: what truly is in a man is evidenced by his...
  16. ScottA

Scripture is not the last word.

That is not at all what I am saying...you misunderstand. Of course God has the final say...that is my point exactly. And since you favor the scriptures, you should have no trouble reasoning that because "God is spirit", and the biblical order of things is "the spiritual is not first, but the...

Scripture is not the last word.

    You are defeated.

Scripture is not the last word.

Unfounded fodder. Name calling. Accusations. Hate. Jealousy. All fruit of wickedness.
  19. ScottA

Scripture is not the last word.

And again you look for a way to find me in error and fail. Nonetheless, Satan knows the scriptures, and quotes them just as you do.

Can a Christian have a demon?

Indeed, no disrespect for Peter, here. But the point is that before we are sealed in God by His own spirit, Satan can and does influence much of what goes on in the world.
