It's very balanced F. I had mentioned to you how the KJV has mistakes in it and they have to be footnoted. I mentioned how they should just correct it. Many things are known today that were not known when the KJ was written. We know a lot more about the culture of the time and what certain...

Amen to that! I have never understood why calvinists do NOT understand this. It's a strange god they serve. He makes man a sinner and then punishes him for it. Makes some humans to go to hell...not very nice of him. Free will, I'd say, is also an important part of our make up. Since we have...

I agree with you except I wouldn't give it to someone new. You know the doctrine now so It's easy for you.... I think a new Christian wouldn't understand it at all. But OK.

I like that last paragraph! Never heard it. @Rollo Tamasi will speak for himself,,,but I do believe he meant that he believes in depravity, as we all do... NOT TOTAL depravity which makes man INCAPABLE,,,as you've stated.

I like it because it's very poetic. Love it for that. I can remember whole verses in the KJV. BUT would you hand it to a new Christian? Did you know that he best translated bible is the ESV. I use the NASB but have MANY versions. I also like the Living Bible for the difficult stuff and also...

What serious stuff ! Don't you like silly songs?

I agree with the above. I also don't care for the KJV. First of all there are some mistranslations in there which are footnoted..why not just fix them? It's too difficult to understand....first it needs to be translated! It's a horrible bible for those of today that are much better off with...

You know. We have to stop with the technology. Too much already! It's an imperfect science.

I can't speak to this bb. I'm rather confused. Yeah,, me,,, confused. Can it be?

Sometimes we get little bits of information. I hate to post it though unless I'm sure it's right. Where Jesus was crucified is called Golgatha. It means The Place of the Skulls. SOME believe that the head of Goliath was buried there and that's why it has this name. If anyone reading along can...

I for one had never heard about that gate that leads to the L of F. (in Hades)

And you're doing what some do that cannot answer. You tell me I DON'T GET IT instead of replying to my post. If you think God wrote those rules...you're believing in a rather small God.

You know Enoch,,,I respect you, but you are very insulting sometimes. Like now. Because I don't agree with you does not mean I DON'T GET IT. I get it just fine. It bothers some to hear that there are errors in the bible. Why did the persons of the O.T. even offer sacrifices if God said a few...

Wow. I can't believe the amount of work you did that went into this O.P. Impressive.

Uh oh. I don't like the looks of that smile!!

LOL I do believe @atpollard knows what Gehenna is or where it is or both. He uses the same method I use sometimes which is to ask a question to make someone think....and I get answers from others who think I was really asking. But it's still good to post for those that may not now. Words are...

Nice. But he reminds me of a depressed Mika. They look kind of the same. What do you think? You see it? You see it?

Why not? I never tried that talking thing BTW. Have to stop somewhere, or forget about being modern... we'll be living in the FUTURE!

Maybe I get it. Maybe I don't agree with you. I agree with what you state 95% of the time. I know Moses was given the 10 commandments on Mt Sinai.. I'm saying that Moses did not write all of the Torah... Jesus prophesied His own death. He didn't write about his burial. Moses spoke about when...

I AGREE!! This is why I worry for their soul. This is why I try so hard to make them realize their error. I don't think it even works.... But, you know: One plants, one waters and God gives the growth.
