AN OFT OVERLOOKED LESSON FROM JACOB'S LADDER

No. That's not the Mosaic Covenant and that's not the New Covenant. You also haven't explained what the promise is. You do have a part. The New Covenant DOES NOT say you DO NOT have a part. Actually, you have the same part the Israelites did while wandering through the desert. So stop...

AN OFT OVERLOOKED LESSON FROM JACOB'S LADDER

Mathew 24:24 Mathew 16:11-12 Acts 20:28-30 2 Peter 3:17 Acts states that even from amoung ourselves some will rise up and attempt to draw away the saved. Ravenous wolves could look like sheep. Is my list a list of ravenous wolves? How can we know for sure who is and who isn't? It's a...

AN OFT OVERLOOKED LESSON FROM JACOB'S LADDER

Nancy, These are the two types of works I'm familiar with...: 1. One does good works/deeds because he's been taught that this will get him saved and going to heaven. He is not born from above and does not have the Holy Spirit dwelling in Him. He is not as Jesus explained in John 3.3, 5. 2...

    Confession

I agree. YOU'RE the one who said you don't understand how I could consider a catholic to be Christian. Did I misunderstand you? I'm saying that Catholics are Christian, at least those that are born again, just like only some protestants are born again...

Two Spirits At War In America?

It's OK to be slanted. The right has an agenda, and the left has an agenda. The difference is that the left is willing to do anything to get what they want. They want to obliterate the right to get what they want. And, yes, it can only be a spirit for the feeling to be this strong.. Kill babies...

AN OFT OVERLOOKED LESSON FROM JACOB'S LADDER

Yes, we do like to overlook Ephesians 2:10, don't we? I hear on these threads that not everyone who believes he is saved obeys God. Some tell me that even if they live a life of sin they are still covered by the blood. False prophets are not unsaved by definition. What is a false prophet but...

AN OFT OVERLOOKED LESSON FROM JACOB'S LADDER

I've asked you what the difference is between the Mosaic Covenant and the New Covenant. Could you please post the difference? I asked you what the promise is and you never answered... What IS the promise? The New Covenant is also based on what man can do for himself. Jesus did His part, do we...

Two Spirits At War In America?

I agree with @1stCenturyLady and do not really have anything to add. There have always been differences in the two camps, but I've never seen this hatred. I just want to add that this is how I perceive things (even here in Italy)... The right, which is supposed to be closed minded, is accepting...

Once Saved....always Saved - Results of Questionnaire.

Yes. I'd like to see those verses too. I can't think of any. Do you mean for the future? For right now?

bb, they, meaning those that are saved, believe in Jesus, just like we do. They don't believe works save them, just like we do. They do believe in ongoing justification, which we call sanctification. They have some beliefs we don't agree with. Who doesn't? Why do YOU think the way you do??

    Confession

Helen... I agree. Maybe @Nancy could use a darker green and BOLD it?? This is due to the change that has occurred. We're all trying to figure out a way how to make our replies be distinquished from the post. I'm using a size 5 for my replies. Before, I didn't have to do anything!

AN OFT OVERLOOKED LESSON FROM JACOB'S LADDER

We have received the promise of the better Covenant. Why is the New Covenant better? How have I made your point when I said that the New Covenant gives us the power to obey? Are you now agreeing with me that we are to obey God? (by whatever power we may have).

AN OFT OVERLOOKED LESSON FROM JACOB'S LADDER

Many miss the point. Jesus never once spoke of the saved or unsaved in Mathew 7:15-23 What He DID speak of was those who were LAWLESS; without the law, not following the law. Luke 12:46 speaks to this also. The slave whom the master had left in charge was mistreating other slaves IOW, he...

    Confession

Wow, yeah. It's a really brutal doctrine -- it changes the loving nature of God and makes one wonder if they're really saved. I don't think there are too many around here, but on another forum I was on, I think 1/3 were calvinists. How anyone could believe those teachings, I'll never know.

    Confession

South Buffalo. Lots of snow. I grew up in NYC, in Queens, in Whitestone. It's a nice place, but I know you Notherners hate the city! I'm very familiar with the Catskills and the Adirondacks. We spent every summer either in Italy or up there. I have distant relatives in Little Falls ---...

    Confession

Sure I have scripture...but so does the next guy. So now what? I didn't know Epostle was Kepha --- he seemed like a new guy and I was trying to be nice to him. I still like to be nice to everyone. I dislike calvinism a lot, but I try to be nice to them too. I TRY! And, yeah, you do have a...

    Confession

Hi Nancy, Fair question. I left the CC when I became born again back when I was about 28. There was no spiritual food there for me and I was starving. I ended up in a Nazarene church where I stayed till I moved here. I mean, look where I live! If I want to go to church, it's the Catholic...

    Confession

The above is for epostle... For those reading along, @epostle (not the one with the gun) made a little mistake... It's not mandatory to confess once a year. It's recommended and it's recommended to do this around Easter time, for lent. This is because there are two times a year when one...
