I think that Christ was telling the truth when answered John the baptist, "Permit it at this time; for in this way it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness." If you get into speculation I know of three....still they are speculations. Because the scriptures do not elaborate.

So, because the Baptism of Jesus was not about the remission of sins, baptism has what effect on you and me?

Water baptism has nothing to do with salvation. Ok, in your own words, why should we be baptized?

Sometimes the truth is popular and sometimes it is not. But what you said in not true and does not make sense.

That is some circle talk for ya. I categorically disagree with you, but I will let the scriptures speak the truth. 1st Corinthians 11:1 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ. 1st Peter 2:21 For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an...

I respect the fact that some people have issues with Pagan "things." But Christian holidays do not commemorate Pagan gods. People do not like to admit that God changes His mined or there is a change in the plan....that is their problem because even in the OT we can sight were God did change His...

Romans 4:15 “for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, neither is there violation.” 1st John 3:9 “No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” 1st John 5:18 “We know of no one that is born of God sins...

Apples and oranges discuss steak....the meat of the matter will evade them. Credit to you that you have the patience. Sad for Christians that they think a God was nailed to a piece of wood, and the best He could do was produce such shaky and unsure salvation. Good to know the truth, pray for...

I will mention that the season is also celebrated by the Jews, it is of course called Hanukkah also called Chanukah or the Jewish Festival of Lights. It observes the rededication of the second Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, and the miracles are represented with the Menorah. This happened in the...

People like to label things because that is one of the ways the mind categorizes its understanding of reality. And it works for the surface of understanding, or what people call the milk of understanding. For a deeper understanding, you need to cast that aside. The entire period of the NT can...

Timeline gentlemen timeline.... Who did Christ say He came for? Who was Christ speaking to most of the time in the Gospels? Did He address Judaism at times? What can we glean from those conversations? Did He speak of a higher level of morals and thinking that would lead to Christianity? Did He...

Of course.

As in?

The money changers and merchants set up in the temple, I hear in the court of the Gentiles. Jesus said "It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves." Gentiles were supposed to be allowed in the Court of the Gentiles. I read that Solomon's...

That is point how did the meetings go...Two distinct groups...Jewish Christians and Gentile Christians that practiced their religions differently.....No Gentiles Christians in Temples. You are right about leaning....for two reasons....one, chairs were not common....two, it was a belief that...

I get that, converting pagan temples did occur after Constantine...325 era.... Catacomb churches are interesting. So what do you think it was like in the house churches, with women?

CharismaticLady are you talking about Christian Churches? Biblical era churches? The Bible refers to Churches as groups and congregations, not buildings. The Bible does not discuss the construction of Christian churches, history does not see it either. The discussion of where they met is a good...
