Abortion kills a unique human being.

So your definition is that to be human the child must be able to survive on its own? And you believe that is logical? A baby cannot survive on its own. And a baby is still developing after birth. So logically the baby can be killed at least until its fontanelles are gone (about 18 months...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

God could do without the role of Christ. Man couldn't. We need to be reconciled because otherwise we face the consequences of sin (death) without the hope of life. Consider it this way - redemption is not a reactive plan but rather the original purpose of man. A seed must fall, it must "die"...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

It says that God was reconciling Himself to man.

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

Yes. But He most often used the title "Son of Man". In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God. Jesus is this Word (the Word became flesh and dwelt among us). The question is not whether Jesus is God but if Jesus was eternally the "Son of God" or became the...

What benefit does it produce to make Jesus God

It is not about making Jesus anything. Jesus is God. The reason this is necessary is redemption (in Christ man is reconciled to God).

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

My son likes Christian hip hop. I can listen to some but a lot of the Christian rap he listens to is too quick for my slow mind. But he has benefitted from having music that he enjoys.

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

Yea....I know thread topics drift. I may have been left behind. Kinda like the "new math". Guess I'm getting old. I should have asked earlier rather than assuming @quietthinker was speaking of a genres of music. Now I have no idea (which is normal for me).

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

Perhaps. I was under the assumption we were speaking about Christian Rock music. I did not take the time to understand exactly what you were calling this cacophony. To be fair, I do not find ancient Hebrew worship appealing. But it's a cultural thing (I do like Demon Hunter) So what noise...

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

No. As I said, you are judging things based on your predjudices and not God's standard. I am not sure what gave you the idea music you dislike is wrong or that music you like is right. Your moral compass is pointed inward to you when it should be pointed upwards to God.

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

I have not made a mistake. It is wrong to judge servants of Another. Ot is wrong to demand other people submit to our preferences. It is wrong to measure right and wro by our personal predjudices.. No mistake on my end. You are simply wrong.

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

No, don't do evil. You are confusing people listening to genres of music you do not like as doing evil. But evil is against God, NOT against you. If I do not like traditional hymns because they do not sound like music to me then does that make hymns evil? In your mind, yes. But you are...

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

Not at all. YOU are the one calling music that you do not like obscene. But that does not make it so. You assume that music you do not like is something Satan likes, even though that music is reaching others with the gospel of Christ. You are allowing your prejudices influence you to oppose...

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

Of course. He probably hates it the gospel is reaching a younger generation of people through Christian rock. He probably hated it when groups like the Gaithers (admidst the objection of many Christians) reached a generation. And he probably hated it when hymns were sung at the opposition of...

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

I'm just glad some can set aside their prejudices to reach out to other people with the gospel. I have seen younger people reached with the gospel, grow in Christ, ect. through music that I personally do not enjoy. In the end it is not about me.

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

It could be to you. Give some examples. Is the Gaithers trash music? Bach? POD?
  19. John Caldwell

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

No, I include you. If you get to dictate to people what constitutes music based on your own prejudices then I get to dictate to you what doesn't.

    Who appreciates Christian hard rock?

But who are you to determine what is and is not music. Most of us (Westerners) would not consider ancient Hebrew music to be music. The problem is you are making your preferences the standard of worship, and that is wrong.
