then wouldn't we still be able to "know Him" spiritually, in that case? the other translations assume this i guess, but you might note that there have been some assumptions made, there at the bottom,
2 Corinthians 5:16 Lexicon: Therefore from now on we recognize no one according to the flesh; even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him in this way no longer.
which i don't mean to say are necessarily incorrect, but note that
"...Him, in this way" is assumed, and the orig text says
"...yet now we no longer know."
which might even support your pov there maybe

Proverbs 21:2
[2] Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts.
Luke 2:35
[35] (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.
1 Corinthians 14:25-26
[25] And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth. [26] How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
