We will not have this Man to reign over us.
I believe the devil said the same thing about Adam, The Hebrews said about Moses, And the Jews said about Jesus.
All I hear is: No KINGS!!
Well God chooses Kings. He chose David, and Solomon.
A lot of others were given seats as kings, sometimes through wars and conquering, sometimes through the bloodlines.
Even King Nebuchadnezzar and The Pharoah of Egypt, and Ceasar were given power as: "Man who reigns over us"
What I believe we are missing is the "WITH US" instead over "OVER US" .
In the book of Revelation the Bible says, And we will reign WITH him, doesn't it?
Rev 20:6
Blessed and holy
is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
yes there it is: With Him.
Sometimes the Lord chooses certain people to lead the sheep because they don't know how to accept responsibility.
On the other hand, if everyone is a shepherd... I have to think about that.
every man under his own fig tree...
1Ki 4:25
And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.
Mic 4:4
But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make
them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken
it.
Zec 3:10
In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall ye call every man his neighbour under the vine and under the fig tree.
Jhn 1:48
Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
Neighbor.
There is a lot that can go into this. Specially about coveting power, like Korah did in the wilderness.
Coveting will get you into trouble everytime.
You know the least of the commandments is to covet thy neighbors stuff.
And yet even this little one is the beginning of all sin.
ok thinking too much..
