Prophecy 4. Lack of Natural Love
“People will . . . lack normal affection for their families.”—2 TIMOTHY 3:1-3, God’s Word Bible

WHAT DO THE FACTS SHOW? In one African country, approximately 1 out of every 3 women has been sexually abused as a child. A survey conducted in that same country found that more than one third of men felt that it was acceptable to beat their wives. However, women are not the only victims of domestic violence. In Canada, for example, nearly 3 out of 10 men have been battered or otherwise abused by their partners.

WHAT IS A COMMON OBJECTION? There has always been domestic violence. It is just receiving more attention today than it did in times past.

IS THAT OBJECTION VALID? Awareness of domestic violence has been heightened in recent decades. But has greater awareness of the problem reduced the number of incidents of domestic violence? No, that has not been the case. A lack of natural affection is ever more prevalent.

WHAT DO YOU THINK? Is 2 Timothy 3:1-3 being fulfilled? Do many lack the affection for their families that should come naturally?

For clarity let us consider the full statement given by Paul: -

2 Tim. 3:1-9 Perilous Times and Perilous Men

3:1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was.
NKJV

Now where do we fit in with this passage?

Like reading a newspaper isn't it Jay? Yes sir, we definitely are seeing that fulfilled right before our very eyes.

Like reading a newspaper isn't it Jay? Yes sir, we definitely are seeing that fulfilled right before our very eyes.

But, is there also understanding. Is there a realisation that there is a need for the Saints to humble themselves and to repent of their sins of turning away from God because of the "troubles" during this present time.

Your facts to support your Prophecy sign confirmation bears no reality as to what Paul gives in the above quoted passage from 2 Tim. 3:1-9. Just another grasping at straws in the hope of drawing the right straw.
