''....It was the latest in a string of book removals being implemented at schools at the behest of conservative activist parents and school board members.

A school district in suburban Fort Worth, Texas, has ordered its librarians to remove an illustrated adaptation of “The Diary of Anne Frank” from their shelves and digital libraries, along with the Bible and dozens of other books that were challenged by parents last year.

I never thought years ago Texas would go Blue Democrat.

Fascism doesn't drop overnight. It happens in increments that don't necessarily catch our attention.

Years ago the hate group Southern Poverty Law Center implied the Bible was hate speech. And without saying so outright for fear of the fallout.

After that I knew it was going to get worse.

Hate speech ? what the hell is that ! Truly ?
God hates, the Bible points that out and for good reason !
One must be able to express ones self regardless of being attacked or dominated over as to why you may say, but sure what you may say can be debated or ridiculed freely and openly.
But if one is out to cause one body harm with intent, that is another issue.

More of an issue is what one despise something for good reason ? of is using constructive criticism for the good of all.

The Lefty crew are a bunch of spoilt brats and so are some of the right, not to mention and then add into that the workings of Satanist into the works and Voila ! you get such Standover merchants, They don't want anyone exposing deranged peoples intent. when such a one is truly only a brat who is guided by malice intent. such a one is out of control ! working to undermine a community, a Nation even and turn it on it's head, for their own ignorance. They are a cancer !
When ones intentions are not honourable to one you love, you have a right to deal with such a grub.

You would think affected parents in the district would push back.
Don't beg. File lawsuits, not a class action, against the school and those complicit in distributing pornography to minors.

Sodomsex acts in any medium in a library for minor children is exactly that.
And then in solidarity the Christian parents keep their children out of school in protest.

Several years ago some fundamentalist decided that Anne was a lesbian and as such children needed to be protected from her perversion. Since then the book has been one of the most challenged books libraries.

If I had “school aged” children today, NONE would be educated indoctrinated in a public school.

I have “schooled at home” at different times and it is so much more rewarding than the “legal jargon” of “home schooled”, which effectively requires using “THEIR” curriculum and oversight.

Can you explain this more? I want to home school but I don't know how you can escape the curriculum requirements. I just figured Id have a really limited time educating in a way I see fit.

You can research and find companies that have prepared programs for you to follow. Tasks to pass state tests etc. They will guide you along the way ....

We almost went this route with my daughter. But I knew a new priniciple in a new Church school that developed a scholarship program for us.....She went to Church each day .....however , I followed through with a promise I made. At the time, I was overseeing a major hotel project at Disney World. Up each morning at 4 am and out the door at 5:30. She got up with me .....I had her read articles form the news paper each morning, then we sent her to Sylvan Learning Center . She walked home. By the end of that summer we were amazed .....She was reading at a sixth grade level, no longer a failure at forth grade level. Midway through the year we moved her to sixth grade classes. She excelled through it all. She was still getting up at 4 to impress Dad .....

I had a construction crew that worked at Busch Gardens in Tampa. They could only work at night when the park was closed. Her mother was at a Legal Secretary Seminar in Dallas. I got a call at home at 2AM. The work crew had taken the spare tire out of the truck because of the materials they needed to take with them that night. They got a flat tire and called me to save them. I went to her room, "Grab your pillow and blanket, let's go." "Where to Dad?" "Busch Gardens." "Right" By the time I stopped and got the tire, drove across the Bay to Busch Gardens, it was about 3AM. I cleared the guard entrance and drove to the train station. Parked and went in. Suddenly we heard a scream ......The car was parked next to the Giraff compound. The largest Giraff had seen her in the back seat, leaned over and snorted ......waking her. Imagine waking up and seeing a head like that. The next day I got a phone call "Michelle is lying" "About what?" "Being at Busch Gardens last night." She was with me." I was asked to come by the school and explain what had happened .....I had photos of her with the Vet and the entire herd of giraffes ....She was a hit at school for days ....
