Especially since Honour only comes from God?
That is not what Jesus meant. He meant honor from others -- from human beings. As Helen said, preachers receive more honor when ministering to congregations away from their home.

So let's look at the verse again: "A prophet is not without honour, save [except] in his own country, and in his own house."

Jesus received more honor and recognition from Gentiles and Samaritans than He did from his own family and from the Jews in Judea. At one point His brothers and sisters even regarded Him as crazy. But later on they all believed on Him.

And all of Nineveh believed Jonah after he warned them of impending judgment. They are repented and they were all saved.

Do get what you are saying and it is a good point. For instance: 1 Corinthians 12:23-24 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness. [24] For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked:

but still is that not speaking of the same: Hebrews 11:14-16
[14] For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. [15] And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. [16] But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.

“That is, an heavenly” family; the “brethren”. asking if a Prophet is Not without Honour, except in His own earthly country. being not a geographical relocation required but “But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.” And “seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
