Like this...

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Boring!!!

Here is where it all went wrong, Charlie.

They don't say "in the name of Jesus" as they baptize.

They teach silent baptism.

They don't remits sins in the COC, but just give free baths.

You're joking! Nobody is saved by works!

To be exact, ANY church or religion that baptizes in anything other than in the name of Jesus is just a glorified bath house for believing sinners.

Nonsense! Nothing is achieved by "works" but by faith in God and His son, Jesus Christ. Baptism is simply a ritual; it accomplishes nothing in regards to salvation.

Baptism is a ritual declaring your old, sinful man, to be dead. Nothing more.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,...

...much more than that.

Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast."

Works are clearly not involved.
So, SDS(saved during sleep) is scriptural since confession is a work of man?

Romans 6:4, "Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life."

Colossians 2:12, "Having been buried with him in baptism, you also have been raised with him through your faith in the power of God who raised him from the dead."

I believe the Bible, not your repetitious, flawed distortion.

Again, I believe the Bible, not your repetitious, flawed distortion. I notice you now have another, flawed mantra. You're like a parrot, repeating the same phrase over and over and over, ad nauseum.

The name of Jesus spoken during water baptism causes remission of sins.

Not your good looks or cute confession, Jim.

Busted.

You skipped Acts again.

I know, bad habits are hard to break.

By the works of the OT law as scriptural context teaches, correct.

By Spirit led works, salvation is obtained.

Again, unlike yourself, I believe what the Bible clearly says...

Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast."

Works are clearly not involved.

Right, OT works of the Law.

Read your NT preacher.

It is always referring to the OT Law when speaking of salvation via works.

Moderninsts think everything is works, especially Acts 2:38.

It borders on willful ignorance of scripture.

Very clever ... not. You make no sense, now, previously, and undoubtedly in the future.
At the end of the day, you still need remission of sins via Acts 2:38.

Unless you just like being "different" than the 3000 at Pentecost.

Cooler maybe?

BORING!!!!!
I bet your fingers will not let you poke the keyboard to post Acts 2:38, Jim.

They jump elsewhere when you attempt it, right?

C'mon Jim, take a chance.

Fight it off and do it!
