He was saved by saying "what will you have me do"?
Were the 3000 also saved by saying "what shall we do"?
All we need is to ask a question to be saved?
I would definitely repent if I thought I was saved and found out that I had not been baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of my sins.I think some had said, Repent because you are already saved???
A mere question does not save anyone, Charlie. That is ridiculous, a play on words.
Paul surrendered to Christ is saying, "Lord, what will you have me do."
The 3000 were convicted and didn't know what to do.
What is the differrence?
A mere question does not save anyone, Charlie.
Who teaches that anyway?
They(modernists) skipped baptism, then eventually skipped repentance,.... now they are backing up to.. "saved by a question"?
Next thing you know they will teach you are saved in your sleep.

...and don't tell me you forgot what you were going to ask, already...LOLUmm ... I have a question (opss darn now I'm saved)

What did Paul do, Charlie? My Lord! What came out of Paul's mouth was what had happened in his heart.
He had surrendered to Christ and that surrendering was revealed in "Lord, what will you have do."

"The baptizers"?
Never heard that one.
I can do that!Like this...
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Here is where it all went wrong, Charlie.I went to a Church of Christ with a friend who asked me to go. I wanted to see what was going on, so I went.
They tried to dunk me so I would be saved. Since then I call them the "baptizers."
Here is where it all went wrong, Charlie.
They don't say "in the name of Jesus" as they baptize.
They teach silent baptism.
They don't remits sins in the COC, but just give free baths.

Now that's something to repent about.

I guess "Saved During Sleep"(SDS) is doctrinal.
It is truly saved without works.
No confessing or repenting etc.
Hey, great idea!!!
