20180624_203843-1328x747.jpg Power went down at 7:40, brief very high winds then heavy rain with many lightning bursts. Western Saline county. Last I looked the thing was at pine bluff. We sat on the porch and took pictures after the storm went by. It's black up in the woods Boys! Had to use a flashlight to type this...

My electric bill doesn't look so bad now. Hard to think most of the world is in the dark without even clean up water.

Hallelujah, lights came on as I typed this. Just over two hours. A tip of my hat to the First electric co-op boys. Thank God for no strikes. In the past I lost $5k in computers, fax machines and TV's. One strike blew up several high voltage bushings, literally blew the power line off the poles.

Took these just awhile ago.

Three days off in an ice storm is our longest. It was a drag. I took everything out of our freezer and fridge and dug them into a snowbank so we lost little. Just part of living up in the sticks I suppose. I try to imagine never having electricity or running, clean water and can't. So much of the world doesn't know the things we take for granted.

I realize how spoiled and ungrateful I am, as if I had these things and more coming. God forgive me for not being thankful. Amen
