Just goes to show how fragile life on earth is, and how dependent we are on God's good graces. Since mankind has been going downhill, morally, I wouldn't be surprised to see this "weakening" of the earth and susceptibility to CMEs. Yes, the end is near. But so is the beginning--the New Earth.

I would think because God knew beforehand that men would look to the Sun as the source of life as Sun worshippers .

God who is light, Love and Spirit and not that he can only create light waited till day 4 before he turned on the temporal ,corruption time keepers (sun and moon) that are winding down toward the last day under the Sun .

The new order will reflect the first three days when the presence of God was the source of life Three is used to denote the end of a mater as to wahtsoever is in sight .

Lucifer as a star of the morning usurped the power of the glory of God and took it upon his own self as if he was the source of light . . . false pride. .

His glory as light will return in the new heavens and earth .No longer in need of the sun the source and moonthe reflected glory .The Sun as the signified by the Father and the moon as the son together takes on that glory as one source of light . Remember not only can our glorious God create light. God is light as the very essence of his person .when he comes into a room it lights up the whole

All indications are that we are approaching the final countdown, when “there will be signs in the sun, moon, and stars; and there will be anguish on the earth among nations bewildered by the roaring sea and waves.” (Luke 21:25)

We who study the Prophetic Word, should be aware of what God has planned to use on His great and terrible Day of fiery wrath.
Coronal Mass Ejection – C.M.E.

A C.M.E. is an explosion on the sun’s surface, which is the same as a sunspots or solar flares, but are much larger and are an event that can affect the earth quite dramatically. C.M.E.s can release huge quantities of matter and electromagnetic radiation into space. This material is a plasma, consisting primarily of electrons and protons, but also some heavier elements. When you consider that the sun consists of 99.86% of the total amount of matter of the Solar system and the earth could fit into the sun 1,000,000 times, then it’s easy to see how the sun could eject an enormous mass.

C.M.E.s are caused by ‘magnetic reconnection’.- Scientific jargon for a gap opening in the sun’s magnetic field. These events tend to happen in 11 year cycles.

A C.M.E. hit the earth in 1859, that destroyed the early telegraph system. Another smaller one affected the Quebec area of Canada, and shut down the electric grid. Also many cases of health problems were reported.

NASA have sent into space, two satellites on the same orbit track as the earth, but one quarter of the orbital distance away from earth, in both directions. Called STEREO. This allows them to view both sides of the sun, as against earths front on view. So, their purpose is to give warning of solar activity, which is actually difficult to detect, looking directly at the sun.

The radiation [light, and shorter waves] can arrive to earth in 8 minutes. Then the main mass takes 40 to 60 hours to hit. It all depends, of course, whether a C.M.E. is aimed at the earth. Really, it must be very bad luck – or God’s purpose- for a direct hit, as there is every other direction for it to go. Isaiah 34:5, Psalms 50:1-3, Jeremiah 30:23-24, Psalms 114:5-6, Isaiah 30:25-30

Interesting theory. I would wonder if the reference in Isaiah 30:26 pertains to heat or light? It would seem to speak of the new order. The old passes away never to come to mind ever again.

Since God says the moon is a light, it will be magnified to the intensity of the sun. The Sun itself will be 7 times stronger. If God claims the moon is a literal light, (Genesis 1:16) how did humans land on this light, without being burned? Is the moon a light without heat? It would seem if the sun gets brighter it will be hotter. Only time will tell if the moon starts sending heat towards the earth.

If Genesis 1:16 is just figurative, then Isaiah 30:26 can only be figurative. If Genesis 1:16 is literal, then Isaiah 30:26 can be either literal or figurative. Only when the prophecy happens will reality be revealed.

At the Second Coming the sun and moon "go dark", that it is adjusted for the glory of God on the throne, may be the day Isaiah 30:26 becomes reality.

What is not obvious is one can destroy as heat and the other illumnate.

For the first 3 days the glory of the lord presence was the light. God is light and not that he can only create it. There was no Sun and therefore moon to reflect it light .

We are not to seek after signs that cause us to wonders . The last one given as a sign and wonder was fulfilled. the sign of Jonah . The signs Jesus spoke of was the sign of the times things wil be going on just like in the days of Noah .Again those are signs . not connected with wonders the unseen .

On the last day Christ who is reigning in the hearts of beleivers will leave like a theif in the night .We can watch like Noah but are not of the number as those who number days and mankind . We walk by faith the unseen eternal

I don't think he calls the moon a literal light but a reflected light.. It would be picture or parable of the work of the gospel. Jesus the Son of man having no power as light of his own self reflects the work of the Father. (Not as I will) but as the unseen will and power that worked in Jesus .

Do you think the light from the face of the One sitting on the throne in the 6th Seal is hotter than the light from the sun? Would not the throne itself bring fire with it? If God turns the light of the moon up to the intensity of the sun, and the intensity of the sun is magnified 7 times greater than normal, humans will not be blamed for global warming or the melting of all the ice on the earth. It will be the throne and God Himself that changes the landscape.

Where is the interest and understanding in the Prophesied end time events?

No direct sign was given. Signs of the times, things going on as from the begining of the coruption .

He using many metaphors in various parables to explain his unseen work. Water like blood are used to represent the work of the Spirit. The flood did not cool down the planet if you are thinking of global warming. And the judgment fire is not cleansing fire, a literal fire. It represents the unseen work of God .

The Holy Spirit on the last day under the Sun will leave this creation like a thief in the night. . No signs to wonder after. Jesus said it’s an evil generation (no faith, as it is written) of those who does seek after one .We walk by faith the unseen eternal..

The book as the letter of the law (death) will be cast into the spirit of judgment on the last day .The second death. . death of death.

Death will not rise up and condemn to death through corruption another entire creation ever again. The old things will not be remembered or ever come to mind.

I believe it’s one of the reason the tribe of Dan is missing from the description of the bride of Christ the church just as the apostle Judas is missing to represent the spirt of judgement . Wrong, it is literal. God destroyed the earth once with water. Was that a metaphor too? When He returns He will use fire. We see that happening during the Trumpet judgments, 1/3 of the trees and grass burned up with fire. The Middle East will likely be that 1/3 of the planet. This can be caused by a nuclear war. Let's look at a description of a nuclear explosion prophesied in the Bible thousands of years ago:
"And this shall be the plague with which the Lord will strike all the people who fought against Jerusalem:
Their flesh shall dissolve (as in burn quickly, melt) while they stand on their feet,
Their eyes shall dissolve in their sockets,
And their tongues shall dissolve in their mouths." Zech. 14:12
That is the results of a nuclear or neutron bomb, your flesh is burned while you are still standing. Metaphor? No.

Destruction will not be confined to the Middle East, but that is where we see sparks - right now. 1/3 of the planet on fire could mean an accumulative destruction of the entire world.
We can also fathom super volcanic eruptions and/or hundreds of active volcanos simultaneously igniting. Lets look at another scripture describing God's coming wrath:
"For a fire is kindled in My anger,
And shall burn to the lowest hell;
It shall consume the earth with her increase,
And set on fire the foundations of the mountains." Deut. 32:22
Volcanic eruptions, fire from Hades/ the Abyss, comes to the surface.
Metaphor? No.
This is God's judgment - what do you expect, a spanking?
