That's no way to insult the Andromeda galaxy. What has it ever done to you? ;)
I too have become grumpier since this whole election thing got screwy. Perhaps it is because there is so much weighing on the final outcome as pertains to the future of our country and to what side we arrive.
Though we're not part of this world the goings on in this world do impact our lives. And of course our faith's free right to practice. Just think of how many Christians have been effected by the lock down. While the secular worlds vice spaces, like casinos, bars, are very often granted more rights than the churches.
When I first got involved as a political activist it was very easy to see all the wrongs that need to be addressed and then, to think of how much work there was to do to make changes in those areas.
After awhile the old axiom, pick your battles, started to resonate.
Yours is a great testimony. Thank you for sharing your very personal struggle and journey with us. God bless.
Well said, and I resemble your post in many ways.
I do always believe first, our Lord is the final say, arbiter, and how my mind and spirit should finish the 'day,' on his terms. It does keep me with a clearer spiritual perspective on the things that especially bother me today.
I do not have any problem separating the evil within some people and the goodness they may have in or out of the political arena. I can only believe that their goodness comes from God, as I would likewise want others also to see and believe me in the same light. I also believe that the evil I see 'in' people, judged over time, whether they or I label them as extreme liberals, 'left of left,' socialists or communists are those of a misguided or easily influenced spirit, manipulated by the invisible evil armies of real hate and disdain for our Lord.
Bless you,
