Ezekiel 7:2–9

And I will repay you for all your abominations.

My eye will not spare you,

Nor will I have pity;

But I will repay your ways,

And your abominations will be in your midst;

Then you shall know that I am the Lord!’

Etc.

Just wondering if these kind of scriptures
still have any value according to todays teachers.

They have value to many churches. Probably dimmed by evangelism.

We should always ensure that Scriptures are not taken out of context. So to whom was Ezekiel 7 addressed, and under what circumstances?

THE LAND OF ISRAEL HAD COME UNDER JUDGMENT
1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord GOD unto the land of Israel; An end, the end is come upon the four corners of the land. 3 Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. 4 And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Ezekiel was living among the Babylonian exiles when he wrote this. Jerusalem and Judah had been devastated by the Babylonians. The book of Lamentations written by Jeremiah presents a terrible picture of what happened: Mine eyes do fail with tears, my bowels are troubled, my liver is poured upon the earth, for the destruction of the daughter of my people; because the children and the sucklings swoon in the streets of the city. They say to their mothers, Where is corn and wine? when they swooned as the wounded in the streets of the city, when their soul was poured out into their mothers' bosom... Behold, O LORD, and consider to whom thou hast done this. Shall the women eat their fruit, and children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?

Just as Israel was judged for its sins, the book of Revelation warns the whole world that it will also be judged. But even more severely. All those who are unconverted and read Revelation are required to repent before judgment comes.
