Gen 10:8 And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.
Gen 10:9 He was a
mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
Gen 10:10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Gen 25:19 And these
are the generations of Isaac, Abraham's son: Abraham begat Isaac:
Gen 25:20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the
Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the
Syrian.
Gen 25:21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because
she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
Gen 25:22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If
it be so, why
am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.
Gen 25:23 And the LORD said unto her,
Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and
the one people shall be stronger than
the other people; and
the elder shall serve the younger.
Gen 25:24 And when her days to be delivered were fulfilled, behold,
there were twins in her womb.
Gen 25:25 And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esau.
Gen 25:26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau's heel; and his name was called Jacob: and Isaac
was threescore years old when she bare them.
Gen 25:27 And the boys grew: and
Esau was a cunning hunter, a man of the field; and Jacob
was a plain man, dwelling in tents.
Gen 25:28 And Isaac loved Esau, because he did eat of
his venison: but Rebekah loved Jacob.
Gen 28:1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.
Gen 28:2 Arise, go to
Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban
thy mother's brother.
Padanaram: a plain or tableland in northern Mesopotamia in Aram, a region of
Syria
Gen 31:26 And Laban said to Jacob, What hast thou done, that thou hast stolen away unawares to me, and carried away my daughters, as captives
taken with the sword?
Gen 31:27 Wherefore didst thou flee away secretly, and steal away from me; and didst not tell me, that I might have sent thee away with mirth, and with songs, with tabret, and with harp?
Gen 31:28 And hast not suffered me to kiss my sons and my daughters? thou hast now done foolishly in
so doing.
Gen 31:29 It is in the power of my hand to do you hurt: but
the God of your father spake unto me yesternight, saying, Take thou heed that thou speak not to Jacob either good or bad.
Gen 31:30 And now,
though thou wouldest needs be gone, because thou sore longedst after thy father's house,
yet wherefore hast thou stolen my gods?
Syria:
Jdg 10:6 And the children of Israel did evil
again in the sight of the LORD, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and
the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the LORD, and served not him.
Just thinking..
