If money is what they put faith in, then give it to them. They have received the part in the body they shall have. What is it to you? The Lord commanded us to go out into the world and baptize with the Holy Spirit, not build houses of money gatherers. The Lord does not give as the world gives. What he gives to you, give also to others. Leave the money changers behind, they have nothing to add to the body of Christ. They can not justify themselves by good works, and neither can you. Only by faith through love. This is what the Father wants from us.

Actually, technically, we don’t have any reference to Jesus himself giving anything except one instance where he seemed to be saving peter’s face and had him catch a fish and using the coin in its mouth to pay both His and Peter’s temple tax.

I wonder if Christians should start up a "river bank?"
