My agenda is accuracy and truth and a high regard to the real names. Your average Christian does not know the name of Yeshua's mother or a lot of the characters in the scriptures. Is it important? Yes, because the scriptures are important. The loose goosey understanding of the scriptures as Theologians call it, is not a good thing.

Also the Septuagint and the Majority text do not dabble into all of those names. It's basically "Lord" , "God" and "Jesus" in the English language.

The problem with the Septuagint was the same as the New Testament. Both written in a Pagan language, which did not have all the words, terms, or phrases to express Christain concepts accurately. Which opens another topic....Christian Greek......The writers of the New Testament would have to take Greek words and add definitions to them to express Christian terms and concepts. A simple example is the word sin.....If a Roman sinned it meant his arrow missed the target.....If a Christian sinned it meant that he did something wrong.

Also by the time of the Septuagint, Yahweh name had been completely removed and replaced with the words God or Lord or both. And Christ is not called Yeshua in the New Testament.

The thing is you are not the only one that has a fixation on the Mosaic Laws.
But that is more or less a dead belief and it puts you in a precarious position.
It is a serious sin to only follow part of the 613 Mosaic Laws.
And are you going to buy your wife or wives?
Are you going to buy a concubine or sell your daughter as a concubine?......The Mosaic Laws allow that and regulate all that.
Are you going to sacrifice animals?
I guess you can worship on the Jewish Saturday Sabbath.
Finding a Jewish-Christian church could be difficult.

Agreed. Worse than the mother, the average Christian doesn’t know the name of God or his son sent to save the world.

I personally don’t agree that Proper Nouns should change in translation. For instance, the capital of Italy, in Italian, is Roma. I have know idea why anyone thinks it makes sense to call it ’Rome’ when speaking other languages. Same with Yeshua and YHWH.

It’s more important that we live in obedience to Christ than be knowledgable about ancient languages and ancient proper nouns. Having said that, as you said Scripture is important. WHEN one studies God’s word, one should recognize the importance put on names:

1. Adam named the animals
2. Abram to Abraham;
3. Jacob to Israel;
4. Saul to Paul;
5. Simon to Peter.
6. And Moses asked God who should he say sent him.
7. God’s name is in Scripture 7,000 times.
8. Jesus taught us to pray by beginning with acknowledging our heavenly Father’s name is holy.

Names are identity and meaning and purpose. When I identify as a Christian, it has to mean something and not mean other things. Same with being a patriot, American, grandfather, etc.

I am a true Jew, however, according to Romans 2:

You forget I grew up with Jews.....they feel the same about the Talmud as you do.
