Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe on Monday said that Hunter Biden’s laptop “is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign,” amid claims from House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff suggesting otherwise.

Ratcliffe, during an exclusive interview on FOX Business’ “Mornings with Maria,” was asked about the allegations from Schiff, D-Calif., who over the weekend said that the Hunter Biden emails suggesting Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden had knowledge of, and was allegedly involved in, his son’s foreign business dealings.

“It’s funny that some of the people who complain the most about intelligence being politicized are the ones politicizing the intelligence,” Ratcliffe said. “Unfortunately, it is Adam Schiff who said the intelligence community believes the Hunter Biden laptop and emails on it are part of a Russian disinformation campaign.”

He added: “Let me be clear: the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports that. And we have shared no intelligence with Adam Schiff, or any member of Congress.”

Ratcliffe went on to say that it is “simply not true.”

I'm guessing but...
If I was a computer tech looking over a repaired computer for a nonprofit organization (Biden foundation) I might peruse over the data on it to see if the inner workings of this semi political nonprofit organization is on the up and up.

But then discover that this nonprofit organization has all kinds of big petroleum deals and business dealings on it...a for profit business using a nonprofit organization's equipment for millions of dollars worth of trade deals...I'd be disgusted with the politician's kid.
This sort of thing is illegal...it's international so you call the FBI. (Sex tapes not withstanding)

Because of the people involved any normal person is immediately frightened...these aren't small timers...these are very big fish. Do he makes a copy of the hard drive just in case of a lot of scenarios. He wants it to be an insurance policy of sorts...in case someone destroys the hard drive and blames him for it or something else.

When he hears nothing...for months he goes to a powerful lawyer. (Delaware is overflowing with them) that puts him in touch with Rudy's lawyer.

And now... because Rudy is a political hacks and getting nuttier by the year...it's all become a brew haha.

What would you do if you were in this situation?
You own a computer repair shop.
You got a couple kids as employees... you got rent and inventory and bills to pay... you have to keep on top of everything to keep it afloat... including wearing masks. (Kids keep losing them)

Now this garbage gets tossed in my lap?
Uggghhhh. Do the right thing as best as he can figure out but he is getting killed in the media. If he called the FBI and their answer was "What Laptop?" I'd be pissing my pants until I knew I was safe if I was him.

He had three options better than contacting a lawyer if his story is mostly true.

He could have deleted all the files on the hard drive and then sold the laptop to someone.

He could have thrown the hard drive away -- perhaps smashing it first.

He could have contacted FBI and if there is indeed child porn on it, I'm sure the FBI would have been interested.

If no one had returned to pick it up after several months, I would have assume no one was going to. I'd assume they forgot about it or were drunk or high when they dropped it off -- or they didn't care. I wouldn't be afraid. I would want rid of it however; and if someone came back to claim it, I'd say I didn't have it anymore. Since I think lying to save a life is okay, I might even lie about it to Hunter if I had given it to the FBI. I might tell him I sold it -- or more generically, "We sell items after so long when no one comes to claim it."

The more copies he made, the more risks he was creating for himself by involving more parties in the matter. More things could go wrong.

If he seriously wanted to have a copy to protect himself, he could have rented a safety deposit box or visited a lawyer, put the hard drive in a box with instructions to look at the files on the hard drive in case he died under suspicious circumstances.

“The FBI has had possession of this,” he said. “Without commenting on any investigation that they may or may not have, their investigation is not centered around Russian disinformation and the intelligence community is not playing any role with respect to that.”

He added: “The intelligence community has not been involved in Hunter Biden’s laptop.”

Do they have it or not? First he says it's in the jurisdiction of the FBI, then he says the intelligence community has not been involved?

It sounds to me as if the FBI has the laptop but they're not interested in that or in Russian disinformation -- they're interested in something else.

At a guess... again guessing...
If I was disgusted by the nonprofit organization or Biden's obvious behavior for abusing the nonprofit status to profit from, as the guy is a republican, I would think that as a primary motivator...

There's a ton of emails in the thing...
It would take a speed reader to go through them all and the computer shop owner is half blind to begin with.
The shop owner likely didn't know exactly what all was on the thing until later. (More things to do other than get upset)

But when he calls the FBI back to ask about the laptop and make sure that everything on his end is in the clear and gets a "What Laptop? What are you even talking about? We don't know anything about you and this laptop you are talking about" type answer...if you are interested in conspiracy theories at all you are definitely scared.
You definitely need a lawyer and a ton of publicity to keep yourself alive.

I'd probably make the exact same mistakes...not knowing or caring until now.

Destroy the hard drive? You just became an accessory to the crimes recorded on the thing. No responsible person does that.
If you see your neighbors computer is filled with child porn you don't even consider another option other than calling police.

If your neighbor has bales of marijuana and bricks of what appears to be cocaine or heroin stored in an old delivery box truck... you don't want that stuff in your neighborhood...you call police. You don't want the violence from that activity in your house.

And if you fix the computers of those bilking people's charity and figure that out... you don't help criminals... you stop them.
That's why there is secret whistleblower phone numbers to report crimes anonymously. And the guy did exactly that.

Seems you're the one trying to manipulate me! I have answered your question. I believe that EVERY human soul has a choice about whether they will go to heaven or hell. Why would unborn babies be any different? They are human souls!

We may....as time goes on find out more about the circumstances with this laptop. One of the important questions, if I understand the story correctly, is if the FBI had this laptop in December why did they keep it a secret, while running a full throttle attack on the President of the United States. And they are acting like it will be difficult to get the FBI to hand over the laptop and or maybe they have destroyed it. The FBI has become a political party with guns, time to chop the head off of it and incorporate the rest into Homeland Security and the US Marshalls.

I do not know how many of these type of stories are running around but I was watching a news report on a child that told by his mom that he was a girl for his whole life and he was dressed as girl and then given hormones...

THEY were loving her right to hell . She knows that now . The duty of the church

Recently, I read a testimony by a tearful father whose daughter was being given hormone therapy against his wishes. How sad!
