Can a Christain be demonicly possesed?

Sword, I have ministered in the deliverance ministry for 2 decades and yes Christians can have demons but they cannot be possessed by demons because the Holy Spirit dwells within them. This is a concept that you may not understand but it does not mean it is not truth. I will ask that you keep to the areas of ministry you do understand rather than those you have no idea about.

Wonder if you could just explain why you are qualified to say I have no idea what I am talking about?

Christian have done all manner of things and its not what they would have done if they were in a right relationship with God.
If they are involved in porn. Then it can grow in them. I am well aware that our eternal spirit is as right with God as Jesus is.
I am aware that we are Spirit Soul and Body.
I am also aware that you little graph got it back to front as most people. biblically its spirit soul and body.
Point is Christian are not emmune to demons. If there in sin they can and will be over taken with demons. So I am aware that the flesh is not the man. But the spirit is eternal. I also realise that it is more than just playing with words. So the demons cannot posses a Christian in the same way as an unbeliever. But if undealt with they will totally dominate a Christain to the point they cant deal with it them selves and need help to remove it.

It is totall ignorance to say someone knows nothing about a subject. and you knowing very little about that someone.
Every Christian I know always attacks and ridicules as soon as they are exposed for anything. They clain Jesus is my rock and defence. But as sone as it comes to there door the jump striaght in. Just like you did.

In Ezekiel, the writer is referring to the guilt of the Father's sins. The children are not held responsible for the Father's sins and vice versa. Jeremiah 31 also highlights this concept. In Exodus, Moses was referring to the consequences of the Father's sins being passed down to their children.

And what has any of that got to do with the Christian? Nothing.
When did Christians go under the old covanant?

You asked if I was hurt?
The way you are talking or unprepared to talk shows what you are and its hurt. I see it every day with Christians. who say Christ is my defence then defend them selves.You said you know me. You dont. You said I have no idea what I am talking about. You ignored my question to qualify that. So I will ask again could you qualify why you are able to say I have no idead. I notice that you never answerd my questions, also see you now dont want to talk as its a waste of your time. I never saw Jesus say that ever. Doesnt even line up with any scriptures.
I dont agree with your misteaching of scripture. The worlds full of Christians who want to shout out what they THINK of scriptures but soon as there called out on it. They dont want to talk. So Thats up to you. but as an admin I expect better from a leader. You are clearly misteaching on generational curses as most do in that realm.

The devil is defeated, Luke 10:18, Isaiah 14:12 and Revelation 12:9 is not a future event.

Satan knows he's defeated but he's hoping you don't know that so that you would give power and glory to him because whatever takes your focus off Jesus is his main game plan. If you think the devil can possess you and make you do whatever you want then God can also make you do whatever He wants but as Christians, we should know that isn't God's game plan because we get to work out what God works in. If you want to work out what the devil works in, that's up to you.

All things are ours through Christ and since we are made of dust and sit with Him in heavenly places, where is the devil? Under His feet and under ours too, 1 Corinthians 15:27, Ephesians 2:6.

So what about Job? God allowed Satan to go after Job and Job knew he was being attacked by Satan, not by God and Satan tried to get Job to curse God and Job didn't, pretty simple and straight forward. So, what is the Book of Job even about? A coming redeemer. Job's faith is rewarded by God because God shows him this.....

Job 19:25-27

I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth.
And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;
I myself will see him
with my own eyes—I, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!

What about Peter, wasn't he demon possessed? No. Peter was used by the devil just like the serpent had been used to trick Eve. When Jesus explained He had to be killed and raised on the third day, Peter had no clue what Jesus was talking about but Satan did and he used Peter to speak. When Satan tricked Eve, he was then able to use man for his evil plans but God curses the serpent and then curses the devil with this........

Genesis 3:15

And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

Are you still waiting for a redeemer? Does Satan still chit chat with God in Heaven as in the days of Job? Spiritual warfare is fear based and when you're scared, you freeze, and the roaring lion gets its prey, 1 Peter 5:8,9.

Catholic church was always the leaderrs in casting out I would think for a long time.

I think I would have to say no, I do not believe a person who has come to faith in Jesus can me demonically possessed.

To me possession means to own and I can't see in the NT where a believer can be owned by Satan/Demons.

A believer is owned by God

1 Corinthians 6:19
19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?

I would also say everyone is owned by God

Ezekiel 18:4

4 “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of the father
As well as the soul of the son is Mine;
The soul who sins shall die.

I think the Greek word used for possession and translated as such is Daimonizomai

If we look at the following verses

Matthew 4:24
24 So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them. (ESV)

Matthew 4:24
24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them.(NKJV)

One says oppressed and the other possessed.

Strongs definition "to be exercised by a demon"
Thayers Definition "to be under the power of a demon"

So to me I think a believer can come under the power of demon or allow a demon to exercise him but not own them, but this happens when we allow this exercise of power.

Ephesians 4:25-26
Do Not Grieve the Spirit
25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath,

It's not just anger that gives a foothold, unforgiveness I think does, which leads to anger.

Anyway just my simple thoughts.
