Those were verbatim quotes from the two gospels where the parable is found. One says the seed is the "word" and the other says the seed is the "word of the kingdom". Since you did not reference which verses you were speaking of when referring to the parable, there were two "scriptural" answers.
It’s one parable therefore it’s the same word. You have separate authors describing it in separate ways. Two call it “the word”. Mark and Luke who was probably not even a Jew.
Mathew adds “the word” of the kingdom. They are the same just described in different ways, by different authors.
So, when I asked....what is the seed? The proper answer is the word.
Jesus does not explain who the "sower" is in the parable. That is just a simple statement of fact. So Jesus considered what the "seed" represented and what each "soil" represented important to understanding the parable, but Jesus did not view the identity of the "sower" important to understanding the parable.
He identified the sower as a man. That’s all we need to know.
So, when I asked...can the seed be sown without man? The answer is no. Nobody today learns the word without the Bible. So, man is required in order for the seed to be sown. Rom 10:13-15
The Spirit inspired the Prophets and Apostles to write the word.
Yes, and we don’t know anything about Christ, the HS without this word which was given us through man.
... yet you want to give all credit for 'sowing' the word to men?
I acknowledged that one person speaking the word to another is the most common means of transmission, but I am unwilling to go so far as to make men the sole source of the hearing of the word.
how does anybody know anything about Christ without the word? Written or preached.
Paul says it not me..
Romans 10:13-15
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
You want to be saved? Then you will have to call.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
You want to call? Then you first have to believe.
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
You want to believe? Then you must first hear. Hear what? The word
and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
You want to hear? Then there must be a preacher. The preacher can come from the book or a preacher today but either way the word comes through man. The Lord says that it’s a beautiful thing that man spreads the gospel.
Paul also said, speaking about the gospel..
We have this treasure in earthen vessels. But it’s God who gets the glory when you preach his word. Man gets the glory when you preach mans doctrine. Like laying on your bed and saying a prayer for salvation.
