If that were possible then Jesus lived and died in vain. Paul said, "Therefore by the deeds of the law (what we do) there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin" Romans 3:20. The purpose of the law is to judge and condemn, it cannot save or justify.

Paul wrote, "Knowing this that our old man (Adam) is crucified with Christ, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that hence forth we should not serve sin" Romans 6:6.

In the Gospel we are spiritually crucified with Christ, our old sin nature has been put to death in Jesus Christ. That is not the end. In the resurrection we are spiritually risen with Christ, Paul said, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new" 2 Corinthians 5:17. It's all about trusting and believing in what Jesus has done and not in what we are trying to do.

If you believe that you can save and justify yourself by the works of the law (what you do, your obedience) then you have bought the devils lie. This is why Paul said, "Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes" Romans 10:4. Jesus is the end and the fulfillment of the law. Having fulfilled the law for us he then abolished it by nailing it to his cross, Colossians 2:14. Why did Jesus abolish the law? He abolished the law because all that have faith in him "Are complete in him" Colossians 2:10. No laws, rules or religion needed.

Rehabilitated? We cannot be rehabilitated, since we are condemned with Sin Natures. Should men be lawful? Of course.

Personally, I like to separate the issues of Salvation and Lawfulness. We can please God by being lawful. But God is pleased most of all by our choice to live in personal relationship with Him on a permanent basis.

Salvation comes by the choice to live with God in perpetuity. Lawfulness is the choice to make use of God's provision in righteousness to be lawful. But we can do that temporarily or permanently. God obviously want us to draw upon His righteousness permanently.

We are saved by grace. We do not become perfect when we become new creatures in Christ. We just choose to have a permanent relationship with him. We make use of his righteousness as often as we can. We acknowledge him as the necessary source of our righteousness.

Much of what we read about being new creatures in Christ from Paul has to do with explaining our redemption. It has nothing to do with becoming perfect under Law.

Our works are like filthy rags, but yet they are what comes from our faith, much like the fruits of the Spirit..

Right. "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them" Ephesians 2:10.

Our nature isn't meant to be rehabilitated.

It's meant to be discarded.
Every time I have to go to a Catholic church there is this smell. I think that it is the old Adam rotting down in the basement that they have been trying to rehabilitate for the last 1500 hundred years.

That's a bit convaluted don't you think?
Our faith led good deeds are like filthy rags? Yet that is much like the fruit of God the Holy Spirit?

Early people burned filthy rags. Orthodox Jews to this day throw the linen their minstrating wives slept on once their cycle was complete.

All this talk about God's laws being done away with. When no such thing is taught by Christ.

God's laws are written on the heart of the Christian. Our hearts that as sinners were much like the stone Gods Mitzvah were written upon.

Now, being filled with the Holy Spirit of God we know to have no other gods before him. We know not to steal, lie, murder, disrespect our parents, commit adultery against our spouse, not take the name of God in vain, have no idols, and keep our day of worship sacred,as it,like our salvation,is God's gift to us.

It's untrue God's laws no longer apply. They are within us as consciousness, conscience,of,from, and with God.

Under the New Covenant the law has been abolished, Ephesians 2:15. Jesus nailed it to his cross, Colossians 2:14. Under the New Covenant the just live by faith, Romans 1:17.

Hebrews 10:16
"This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,"
The law that is written on our heart is the Holy Spirit. There is no condemnation if this law is violated, Romans 8:1. The penalty for violating the Mosiac law is death. "The soul that sins must die".

Great. Post the passage that states the Holy Spirit is the law that replaced those Jesus referred to in his sermon, and stated, if you love me you will keep my commands.

And since Heaven and Earth have not passed away, I'll be waiting over here for that word for word proof that supports your assertion.

We keep the commandments by being in Christ. We are complete in him, Colossians 2:10.

Are you saying that Paul is a liar? Where is your scripture that refutes Paul?
I think he is saying that you have misunderstood what Paul said in Colossians 2:14. It is not the law that is is cancelled; rather it is the debt incurred by the trespasses that has been cancelled.

Col 2:13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,

The law is still in place. It is just that those of faith who have been forgiven their trespasses and sins of the law are not condemned for failing to adhere to the law.

That is not what Colossians 2:14 is saying. It says that the ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us was blotted out. The word "Blotted" means to obliterate. How do you cancel the debt without obliterating the law? To be under the law or subject to it is to be under a curse, Galatians 3:10.

Can Our Lower Adamic Nature Be Rehabilitated by the Works of the Law?

Perish the thought.

Many "Christian" Cults have a code of conduct and a manual of ministry from which they operate, much of which has nothing to do with being saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.

That is why they are cultist. Most cults have their own writings, which they consider to be the final authority. Please do not refer to them as Christian.
